Upside down flag indicates capture ...

no SOS/distress

Guess some small team from our side is sitting there, indicating the capture.

Kinks have been worked on, incrementally over the past 05 days. More 'ironing' out to be done.
So we are capturing posts now? isn't that crossing the LOC? meaning invading POK?

No, it is merely clearing out the kinks. Jagged bits of pieces which give the borders a crooked shape. Also, why should the Indian soldier be denied permission to visit own territory?

For the citizens, it is denied because of lot of unexploded ordnance.

Let IAS babus now put that as a unique advantage to Armed Forces for not granting NFU :D

It seems that the oribinal Plan of 2002 is being put in place to straighten the LOC.

This Makwal sector and the Akhnoor Bulge, If I remember correctly. We have had massive problems here in 65 & 71 wars. Now is the time to create a new boundary by eliminating threat to Akhnoor.
We might have hajipir pass with us before first phase of polling. We are now going to straighten the LOC and dominate it at every point. No one in the world will come to rescue of Pakistan and no will support them. Every opinion poll by every nation shows Modi coming back to power with thumping majority and no one wants to mess up with him.

If this fighting continues for One year
Next year Doval and Bajwa will Sign A Ceasefire Agreement in USA

With a New Map of course

Who knows whether it will be Bajwa-Imran or with PMs of new States of Baluchistan, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Pukejab (of course with new border with Kartarpur being taken over) with new surrender king Jernail a-la Niazi....😁😁😂😂

Sadly, when Pakistan claimed the same series of events, some Indians ridiculed the idea. Distortion of facts to justify the narrative can also be witnessed here in this report. While it is reported that Pakistan and India came close to exchanging missile strikes, it is highlighted that India decided to initiate the strike only because ONE pilot was in Pakistani custody. It is not believable, since war calculus accounts for dozens of pilots being lost behind enemy lines.

What possibly happened in my personal opinion, is that the Indian military was given a free hand to go up a rung of the escalation ladder. Since Pakistan had struck in close proximity of IA installations, an escalatory response was required. For this purpose, BrahMos is the ideal weapon since, in addition to its qualities, at the moment Pakistan lacks a proportionate and survivable counterpart of BrahMos. Therefore, Pakistan threatened with the next best thing in its inventory, and communicated the same to India and the international community. Thankfully, the situation was resolved due to presence of open communication lines between both sides and the international community.
It's still a ridiculous idea. Anyone who believes India was going to fire Brahmos on Pakistani military installation simply doesn't understand the Indian strategic mindset and its objectives. It was just a hysteria planted inside pakistani establishment. Which 'inadvertently' helped to get Abhinandan release fast. Pakistan cities went for full blackout wholeheartedly. (Because they really believed that they somehow achieved victory, as always)

India achieved its full objective when it struck Balakot. From then on, everything else is controlling the escalation. Pakistan got a reason to save face with the capture of Abhi. To close the circle, pakistan has to return him. With the level of international pressure, there was no other option.

Balakot changed the balance of power. Pakistan had to answer in some way, which they did. Which is fine by Indian establishment as long as it didn't go back to the previous status quo. Then why would India 'retaliate' in a strategic manner?

Indian military never has a 'free hand' to do stuff other than tactical level responses. It's just political signalling. A decision like a missile strike has to be approved by CCS. And what is it suppose to achieve? Ego boost? India already has a perfectly good story and no one really questioned its credibility. Even the international community was ok with the narrative. (It doesn't matter if its 10 or 300 terrorists were killed)

A sensible Pakistani believes in 'military free hand' doing missile strike and india covering up a crashed Su-30 MKI deep inside for the same reason. He truly knows what his state (aka military establishment) is capable of. It displays faultlines within pakistani society and thus the viewpoint.

Interesting bit from Twitter- the scorch marks at Khuzdar nuclear site makes more sense now. Also,a huge number of attacks have happened by Baloch fighters near Khuzdar in recent weeks.
