Sir in case you read the News that I posted above , Army And IAF commanders are meeting on 8 th and 11 th April
To discuss ongoing operations and Operational preparedness
This clearly means that Things have been
Happening for the last one month
Sir.
Things have been happening, no one is denying. But the same is calibrated. It is not as if we have taken over large tracts of territory. The hemorrhaging is heavy for the opposite side .. always was the intent since the initial, when I had to tell you that war will not be fought.
Although Pakistan is more than welcome to try.
The basic problem for PA this time round is that till date, every GoI had stuck to Shimla Agreement, which made LC sacrosanct. Even PM Modi was willing to give peace a chance under it. But the actions of our neighbour at Gurdaspur and Pathankot, put paid to it. Pulwama was teh final nail, IAF crossing was indication of LC being rendered to history. That day forward, the GoI decided that LC is CFL of 1948, not a sacrosanct border. But it took time to build the diplomatic capability to actually enforce it. And now, the same is being enforced.
All along LC, save a location or two here and there, PA is at a lower height and IA dominates them. In one odd sector we are at a slightly disadvantageous position, and we suffer because of that at times too.
In Mendhar, for example, the villages are quite near to LC, so was easy for them to slip cadres in. But with expansion of strike envelope granted to local commanders, the same is no more an advantage for pushing in proxy.
What you are seeing is the simple outcome of Indians dominating from heights and maintaining a volume of fire that the PA simply have no option but to vacate. Now posts are usually made in a way that another of own side, provides cover to it (read: can engage it if it falls in enemy hands) hence, the problem for capturing troops is that the momentum has to be maintained. And with that, few tactically important positions have been taken/alternate points on the contiguous ridges established, which are making life difficult for remaining Pakistani troops in the area.
Interesting few days ahead. You can look forward to more such indications - of a number of positions occupied/destroyed by India.
