Except it is not an enemy sworn to destroy you one way or another.
a) It is a govt that is trying to survive one way or another despite the elephant called PA
b) the PA is an animal with many heads that wants money, good life style, power over civilian government
c) within this mix is a group of people trying to do gazwa - e -hind with different levels of commitments- one that wants to do it, one that wants the money that comes with it and so on

Only navigating this minefield of different playres will give us what we want
You wrote a lot which is pretty uncharacteristic of you. Are you having a seizure?

PS - I very clearly mentioned the PA. As far as the Pakistani population goes they're the present equivalents of the Good German.

Sir, the day a professional army like the IA and unlike the PA, outsources it's responsibilities to unknown and anonymous entities, is the day we are headed for trouble. For its one thing to indulge in psy ops against the enemy and quite another to do so against one's own people. Besides the services are one of the few institutions left in our benighted nation which is still regarded as credible and commands respect unlike our judiciary which demands it.For obvious reasons, I haven't even brought up political parties or legislatures here nor academia nor the media.
It is not about professionalism. We are no more living in a world which has control over information. Have we not seen how Pak propaganda has caused problems in India and how the tweets by our opposition parties have been used against us. In a hybrid warfare, where all the boundaries of propriety, impropriety, fake and real have been erased. How can you expect only India to hold the flag of propriety. We have to hit the moral of pak forces and also show their population the pain we are giving them. Pakistan has a media fully controlled by ISPR while in India any tom dick and harry is free to shit out whatever he wants. How can a democracy win against such false narrative unless it takes some counter actions. This Babaji is one such manifestation of our counter to their falsehood.

Great, now we are losing informed posters to accommodate unreliable Twitter accounts otherwise forum is autocratic! :(

Are we kids? Tweets posting making people join and leave the forum.

Don't we have a simple policy of not allowing incredible sources like random people on tweeter? Just delete them and move on if they are cluttering the forum with speculations.

Liberty here and there, for sake of advancing the discussion is all together different topic and team must reserve this discretion.

This Babaji, who is the source of this riff-raff, has tagged ADGPI in all his tweets and not even one has been refuted by ADGPI. In the past, ADGPI used to contradict and clarify whenever any such wrong news was posted. Even DGISPR used to tweet its contradiction and refutal. But one most surprising thing is that people here have decided to call him bogus, while ADGPI has not even once tweeted that this guy is fake.
Does this not explain a lot about this so called Babaji?

Yes. ADGPI is a close friend. We are tag-teaming on this.

I had asked @nair to delete that post myself, which means i meant to take back what I posted. You don't need to quit the forum. I have nothing against you or anyone else. I would prefer if you stayed. Have no intention of causing problems to this forum or anyone else. Apologies if I have hurt you in any way.

I will tell you my own case then relate it with Falcon, he is too humble to promote himself. I have two close friends in IA and a close senior all at good officers rank. Both my friends were my roommate and it was close group of friends including my senior, all very closely bonded. Right now one of them is in Kashmir and another moved few days back with tanks to Rajasthan. None of them tells me anything not even a nod or general statement. This is how hard it is to get credible info.

The one in Kashmir is very comfortable in sharing his business accounts details I even have his netbanking password as he is heavily dependent on me for his IT needs but not a yes or no to confirm even Babajis statement. Even asking certain questions raise eyebrows and its best to avoid talking on operational matters. Falcon is retired professional, and I dont know how he does that but he certainly gives this forum the most credible info we can find, maybe because of his good contacts he gets a pass or whatever he does. I follow plenty of retired high ranking officials on Twitter and its impossible to find one tweet even hinting at something. They know it all but chose not to share as it will create problems.

Follow defence journalists those who spent life creating sources and how many of them will you see sharing anything close to what Falcon shared? This is when they are paid to get such scoops, they are either shut off or not authorized to share the information. This is very thankless job to bug someone and verify the facts and then write them in a way that you dont give the whole picture yet people can connect the dots. The last thing we should do is to make them feel unpleasant or unwelcome, most people and I suppose even you said what you said because you were not aware of him but lot of people are following him from years now and his track record is very solid. So lets enjoy and analyze what he posts and take it as per our liking.

Good Day to you.

Sir, in my previous post, I have already given that guy some sense of credibility and also requested team to judiciously consume liberty in allowing tweets which can add to further discussion. Babaji falls in that category.

However we should not allow the forum to be cluttered with speculations/rumours by random tweets. Once in a while is fine.

I have just one single question for all members. Are we firing all the ammo in air? If it is being fired at the enemy, then how come we have inflicted zero casualties? Every single tweet of that so called baba was tweeted by ANI later but we have had no tweet or official statement from IA. Earlier they did post the casualties suffered by PA but now this job seems to have been given to this so called Baba Banaras. I do not think that he is a troll.

Before the IA was firing from our side of the LOC, so counting causalities figure was the only damage on the other side.

Now, after taking over some territory in couple dagger points and on ridges, we are causing harm by "ghar mein ghus ke marenge". This is not acknowledged by Pakistan to concede getting defeated, hence we also abstain from announcing and keep extending our intrusion, like our Consul in Pakistan asked for the proof for our intrusion, thus playing the same game of dossier-dossier with them.

Good Day to you.

Most of us suffers with confirmation bias and want to hear what we want to. These tweets are doing exactly that.

Could it be by a long shot that IA has been asked to keep quiet as we are in election mode and they have instead chosen this method to inform the people at large?

Uhhhh...

If folks can use a bit of common sense then its not too hard to sift facts from baloney...

Here are some facts from this entire episode of confrontation with Pakistan...

1. IAF went into Pakistan and bombed some targets. This is not even contested by DGISPR. It is a fact. Before this happened, @Falcon had indicated that some major resolute action will be taken. I remember his post stating "Sticking my neck out. This time we may actually throw the choice to Pakistan". It did and it was major.

2. When Pakistan denied Balakot, I wanted to verify that. The first doubt I actually had was the immediate reaction from DGISPR and how Balakot was being mentioned. @Falcon had mentioned at that point : "We don't know where IAF hit". And yes, official confirmation never said that it was Balakot or only Balakot. IMHO, till now we don't have a confirmation that target(s) were only in Balakot. For sometime, I wanted to confirm what has transpired in Balakot. It didn;t go anywhere, as expected.

3. We have heard some incredible stories too... like India used missiles. Or Indian army using MBRLs. Or India has moved entire LoC westward by 500 meters. All turned out to be half truths or outright lies or atleast unconfirmed. @Falcon had indicated them.

Its quite easy to see which information to trust.

Now here is a live example of baloney which is on-going :

2 Air Force personnel including a squadron leader killed, 2 others injured in road accident in Awant

What is being discussed is that "India is reporting Su-30 pilot KIA as died in a road accident". It is not hard to see that it is a baloney! There is one more person died in that accident and he is a Corporal. AFAIK, in IAF corporals are not exactly fighter pilots or co-pilots. @vstol Jockey please correct me if I am wrong.

Not to mention there are two injured. Will India be able to hide deaths by mis-reporting it as an accident.. with two injured? Hilarity ensues.

Could not agree more. A close buddy is in the Indian Army. I asked him once. He replied twitter had better scoops than he did. Real information is HARD to get. Be grateful if someone takes out time tell you something.

Fighters have only officers as crew. Even AWACS have only officers as crew. Transpost aircraft have load masters who are JCOs/NCOs. Helicopters depending on the mission they do, have officers as pilots and may have JCOs/NCOs as additional crew like in dropping food packets etc.

My guess is this guy is a mid tier or higher staffer in Delhi. He had the wind of the proposed missile attacks around Feb 28 as suggested by his tweets. His next tweets sounded low. Now there is news that India was thinking of missile strikes that were called off.
