What is being discussed is that "India is reporting Su-30 pilot KIA as died in a road accident". It is not hard to see that it is a baloney! "Four IAF personnel met an accident this morning at Malngpora in Awantipora. Two of the injured personnel succumbed to injuries," the official said, without giving any further details.

The personnel who died are Squadron Leader Rakesh Pandey and Corporal Ajay Kumar, according to the official.

The injured personnel -- an officer and an airman -- have been shifted to a hospital for treatment, the official added.


The Indian Air Force will conduct an inquiry into the incident, he said.

Not to mention there are two injured. Will India be able to hide deaths by mis-reporting it as an accident.. with two injured? Hilarity ensues.

Don't know what's wrong with luck of IAF but a senior of my mine was Flight Lieutenant, damn good looking and fastest runner in University sports meet, sweetheart, also died in an car accident many years back. It was heartbreaking, this incident reminded me of him. IAF keep losing assets, harsh luck. :(
 
Ok Folks @Falcon is not going anywhere..... He is on his way to cast his vote..... He did say that he will vote for mayawati... because he loves elephants and Next level of attacks will be carried in her supreme command...

I understood the point you were making. But the problem is what you said cannot apply in this case.

We are lucky that we have @Falcon telling us what's necessary. The only other choice is to wait for 20 or 30 or 50 years until all this gets declassified, maybe.

Almost everything else you have been reading outside this forum has been nonsense, both from the Indian side and the Pakistani side, including mainstream media.

IA destroyed a terrorist/BAT launch pad nr Digwar sector of Poonch around 6 PM today evening.This launch pad was around 7 km deep in POK.Pak army was planning to infiltrate and harm our troopers.b4 misadventure of enemy,our big guns played its roll very well #OperationColdWave

During the raid of IA more than 10 Pak army personals/terrorists were there. No exact number of casualties available but hoping no one should alive after this intense shelling.

I strongly rebute this and from where did you get this brain wave?
Still no clarification or explanations of the questions I asked. At times we try to create a fiefdom for ourselves by marking the territory with urine and excreta. Even if it does not belong to us. We need to understand that everyone on this forum is not an ex-serviceman and they may get swayed and also might seek our opinion and guidance. As professionals, we should not get swayed nor force our narrative on them. Ears have been given eachside of the brain. God does not create shit. He had some reason to do so. Otherwise he could have given us no ears and just a tongue to go yep yep yep.

Oh well. Not to be insensitive about your loss here are simple reasons :

1. World over death of defense personnels in road accidents are reported as "road accidents" and not "defense news". Right now, media is reporting those in the same tone and terror as war stories.

2. Defense is a taxing job. Often mired with sleep deprivation and sometimes under influence. All of it is a recipe of road accidents.

Most of the stuff being peddled around on the internet is not correct. Not to mention, there's been a lot of guesswork going on in the media. There's a lot of stuff happening at the border area. So when someone throws a lot of things at once, something's going to stick.

As for Babaji's tweets, tagging ADGPI means nothing there. He is just being ignored. I wouldn't take him as Gospel. Maybe after everything is said and done, and he was right most of the time, then we can be sure of his sources in the future. But right now, he could be making everything up and people are easily buying into it.

We were ready to up the ante.....And they got to know the plans..... Why would IK desperately ring Modi in night.....US and ME leaders bought time till morning..... There was no communication from our end post abhi capture..... And we were ready to take this forward......

Baba himself tweeted that he is official ' unofficial ' man in the era of hybrid warfare.(exact words)And that people shouldnt expect formal confirmation everytime.

This pretty much confirms he is an army cyber cell operative.
The reason IA wont give formal updates is because 1.IA is still rather old fashioned professional force unused to promo video infowar ala ispr and more importantly 2.If IA were to give regular formal updates that its taking territory in LOC and even across IB it will paint us as aggressors.By using channels like baba the info is sent out to keep morale on homefront steady while plausible deniability formally is maintained.

Personally all i have learnt from few sources is IA has started this with very good logistical preparation..lots of shells going to front. IA wants to fight a prolonged artillery war on the LOC..

To me it seems,while pak were hoping to continue with their war of attrition using mostly snipers..BAT ambushes..and terrorists..restricting the fighting to small arms and mortar action.But game has changed.IA has more shells..more tubes..usually better positions(where reverse compensated by fire volume)..and crucially newer better eyes due to new tech options not available during 2001 standoff.Even then we ravaged neelum valley and brought PA to table.
