What percentage of Indian population do you think have access to such tweet accounts for defence forums?
These are times of SM. News travel fast. I will not be surprised that these news are running on SM (Whats app etc).

Sir most of the news like these are picked up by right wing pages from social media and they publish them for a wider audience..then there are political pages and groups who add a bit of propaganda and post these are achievements of their political party. The news is then taken up by some media outlets, so news do spread on social media. I think our cyber cell is only meant for domestic audience, whereas I can see Pakistani cybercell focus on domestic as well as international social media accounts. One fake account will post a certain comment, and you can see that account on many news pages, then that comment will be liked by many fake accounts and upvoted ..I had noticed that 6 years earlier when I was in school and use to troll a bit on social media..I use to troll and then received requests from fake female accounts, the same accounts which upvote the comments..I don't troll now but the trend is the same even today.
Let me tell you how it works. A large number of Indians have access to internet and some like us are on forums like this. We talk and chat with people who are not on these forums and spread the word with a heavy dose of our own estimates to the people we know and chat with. These people spread the word further. Do you remember 1999 when the news of Ganesha idols drinking milk had spread all over India in less than six hours?
A lot happened. This guy came in armed with missiles and was intercepted by MIG-29Ks. They did it deliberatly to tell him to *censored* off or get shot down. Like a typical Ghazi, he ran away.
I do know and there was a time when I was studying 'Connectedness' in events like epidemics. A commonly held notion is called 'Six Degree of Separation'. IE you know someone who knows someone .... 6 times who knows Any random person. Well, in case of epidemics (and SM is like an epidemic), this separation gets reduced to 3-4.

Not related but wanted to post here as this operation by some civilians for some stupid joke can tell you how social media cyber cells can operate and are needed in this age..in this operation the trolls used air traffic control data, surveillance, weather reports, sounds and what not to locate a flag ..

Frankly, it's not even entertaining. It's more deriving vicarious pleasure in the absence of any official news, more so since all his tweets are addressed to ISPR and they're silent. The implication being if they challenge him, he'd post videos and that'd take this to another level altogether thus blowing away this veneer ISPR has built with great difficulty.
This is not entertaimment this is a Passion

Neither am I watching the IPL
There is just no desire
There is this constant desire to know what is happening on the border
That is why people like me go to Twitter
Both of you are just describing entertainment here. None of you are doing it for academic, political or monetary gain. You are both just curious.
But then, I'd be very careful what you consume on the internet, 'cause most of it's going to be wrong, and even the IA will want it that way for quite sometime, until everything blows over.
If we are lucky, we will know the truth eventually. If not, tough luck.
Entertainment is Completely the Wrong word
