RWR gives you the direction of the transmitter. If a missile locks on you, it will be like staring at you and you will hear a continuos tone as if you have been illuminated by a torch. Once this happens, the doppler shift thru double diffentiation gives you the velocity and TTI. The direction of approach or the transmitter is shown on a 360* panel in the cockpit. This is possible only if an active seeker missile has locked on to you and using its seeker in active mode. In case of Home on Jam, this will not be possible. In case of an IR seeker missile, you will not get any such warning if you are not equipped with MAWS. You will only know that there is an aircraft out there which might be tracking you or searching for you.

Rather then killing him easy when they knew his location earlier, only to come into most secure zone & kill osama & lost a Blackhawk copter in the process, which Chinese reversed later... while at same time the S10 million bounty, which Doctor could claim & help Pakistan stagnant economy, Pakistan instead decided to throw the keys to his lock...
