Islamabad: The Asia Pacific Group of the FATF, a global watchdog for terror financing and money laundering, will evaluate Pakistan's anti-terror efforts next week, according to a media report.

A Pakistani delegation will leave for Bangkok on September 7 to meet the Financial Action Task Force officials from September 8 to 10, Samaa TV reported.

During the three-day meeting, Pakistan will brief the FATF on the steps it has taken to check activities of banned outfits and the seizing of related assets.

Pakistan submitted a compliance report on its 27-point action plan to check terror to the Financial Action Task Force during the intergovernmental organisation's annual meeting (Asia-Pacific ) in Australian capital Canberra from August 18 to 23.

The reports covered safeguards against money laundering and terror financing by banned outfits and non-government entities through banking and non-banking jurisdictions, capital markets, jewellers and similar related services.

This report's evaluation will determine whether the FATF downgrades Pakistan from its grey list to its black list.

Apart from the report, Pakistan will provide answers to about 100 additional questions asked by the FATF.

The FATF last year placed Pakistan on the grey list of countries whose domestic laws are considered weak to tackle the challenges of money laundering and terrorism financing.

In June, the Paris-based anti-money laundering watchdog said Pakistan failed to complete its action plan on terror financing.

It warned Islamabad to meet its commitment by October or face action, which could possibly lead to the country getting blacklisted.

Isn't ISIS opposed to PA's style of ruling the country?

Not to mention TTP members within its roost.

But yeah, it's possible things have changed a lot, as you say.

PA has the unenviable task where in it is like the man hiding in own house, with a garden full of fast increasing number of snakes (a la Hilary Clinton analogy) and angry neighbours at the boundary. The man simply can not move out of his house as the snakes may bite him too.

No action doesn't mean weak army.there are parameters.you know everything.we will take action when the time is right.why you stationed 9 lakh soldiers if you aren't worried about Kashmir? Agar vardi bikti he to 9 lakh soldiers Kashmir me kyun hn,it sums up everything.

Please. 9 lakhs .... :D

And when the time is right?

I wish I could coax myself to acquire and start posting photographs of your posts reversing their flags and vacating from the area. PA simply has been hit hard along LC.

I do not often make such jingoistic statements, but perhaps you need to ask your leadership why across all the sectors from Poonch to Machchal, has Pakistani Army been unable to maintain their positions along quite a few ridges and have literally vacated them with atleast 10 serious attempts made by Pakistan Army to not only retake their own posts but also try and capture the 'offending' Indian post(s) having been a total failure?

Why did they feel the need to activate the Gurez valley in Kanzalwan region if they were doing so well? Mind you irrespective of any fire any where else along LC, any area due North of Machchal i.e.Gurez- Drass- Batalik and onwards, had been peaceful.

1- So are you suggesting that all of our missiles under strategic force command lays dormant.

Who told you Brahmos is SFC?

Then what the hell is Corps Artillery doing?

2- I am sure you are watching the developments in Afghanistan and Middle east closely. And when we put great power tussle of US and China into equation then it becomes evident that USA would certainly want us to control POK or even dismember Pakistan to close all routes of middle East for China.

Yes, precisely. But the reason is all wrong here. Always remember that after China, India is the next 'threat' (it is all about economics).

US will be happy for us to do all this if we were to commit ourselves in Afghanistan militarily. But should we?

.
4- Ummm according to my knowledge 24 jets of PAF were airborne at that time. If this figure is wrong then please tell me the real figure.

24 were in Battlespace. Heading in various directions. Not all were a threat or directed at him.

There is no shame in accepting that people of India were caged by Pakistani lobbyst in the government of India to maintain soft policy towards Pakistan for long time and Pakistan has succeeded in that. 12 crore pakistani laundo ne 50 crore hindustani laundo kae naak mein 30 years se dum kar rakha ho aur 50 crore kuch na kar payein it's worth applause for 12 crore. This is something of research how a small nation can psychologically enslave a larger nation through political sabotage.

A country can afford to have a Sonia Gandhi or Chidambaram or Ahmed Patel or Sharad Pawar or Mulayam singh or Mamta banerjee or kejriwal or Abdullahs or Muftis or Communist , But india had Sonia Gandhi and Chidambaram and Ahmed Patel and Sharad Pawar and Mulayam singh and Mamta banerjee and kejriwal and Abdullahs and Muftis and Communist ruling us for too long .
