The common man in Arab world is very well aware of situation in Kashmir. They normally believe that Kashmir is in Pakistan well they are not aware that rest is in India as well. The situation at government level may be different. So basically my analysis of whole situation is , India ONLY maintains government to government level talks and tries to convince the governments but Pakistan tries to build people to people relations to spread their narrative.

I would not be wrong in saying that they had succeeded in building such relations in India as well. And this is what they wanted when Imran Khan was pushing for talks. And this is the reason why most of the opposition and liberals talk in such a narrative.

I think the more needs to be done for building a narrative which is in people's mind and government as well. Something like a mixture of Soviet and American way of building narratives.

Time to sober up.

US presses India to 'rapidly' ease restrictions in occupied Kashmir, seeks lower tensions - World - DAWN.COM

Alice Wells, a very anti Pakistan offical said this.

Appeasing Trump won't work, he sees right thru it and have snubbed India quite a few times. We should stop his chamchagiri now. Even Jaishankar was visibly upset during the event multiple times with Trump making Modi wait and excessive flattery. Last time India showed strength and diluted 370 it took days for US to formulate a 'non response' even when it was colliding with US efforts in Afghanistan. So please show some spine and stop flattery.
Alice wells also slapped Pakistan on Uighur issue , she said she hopes to see same concern for Uighur muslims in China from Pakistani leadership. Also mentioned cross border terrorism and the need to prosecute those responsibles.

This was bound to happen. Chest thumping aside we are no China. We got some leeway as our diplomatic support and status as victim of terror allowed us some hard actions. But we cannot expect that freedom indefinitely. We will have to loosen up the communication restrictions a bit.

Curfews are already easing up and life is coming back to normal but the communication lockdown is now turning into a sticky point.

India neither needs the support or the opposition of US in the Kashmir and Pakistan issue. If we are able to make US disengaged with whatever actions India takes in PoK, it would be favorable to India. US plays the part of the 'swing state' here for Pakistanis. India can very well deal with Pakistan alone if the US doesn't interferes.

No, that is not the case. US or the world cannot force India to take actions in Kashmir.

1) The world doesn't give a sh*t about Kashmir.

2) Governments are not made up of single entity. Different officials in US government will have different viewpoints w.r.t Kashmir depending on their worldview and allegiances. We can have an Alice Wells who "urges" India to remove restrictions in Kashmir but we will also have another XYZ who will support India on all such restrictions and curfews, understanding their necessity in maintain peace.
Therefore, lamenting about each diplomatic statement is an exercise in pointlessness.

3) Any arm twisting of India wrt Kashmir requires leverage and give and take. US and China are not ready to give away their leverage for Kashmir when their are much more pertinent issues in which they require India's support. For US, it is the trade tarrifs, China, Russia & Iran. For China, it is India's neutrality in US-China conflict, SCS and Tibet.
If any attempt to arm twist India in the Kashmir issue is made, India reserves the full right to buy more Iranian oils or ally with US against China. This is understood by all parties.

So it's okay if they treat India with contempt because they treated Pakistan with same contempt? You don't find difference between standing of India and Pakistan on world stage? They can nuke Pakistan for all we care, our concern is with India.

Alice wells statement is not anti india perse. You don't expect them to say " well done fck those kashmiris" and "pkmkb". This seems like a standardardized response.
That being said, I agree with you over the too much flattery. Members here seem too much taken by some incoherent bumbling by orange man about our PM and country which may or may not have been positive.

You can't expect a leader or a high profile deputy to UN to openly support India. This spoils their own personality and marked as Pro Indian lobbyst. They have to look neutral in their speeches as well.
Fools like Sushant Sareen and others from pseudo RW only market their tweets for a domestic consumption, well that's their bread and butter,. This is why never believe one news. Unless until you match those news with the actions and then build a pattern with other low profile news.
And some news and tweets you have to dig.

So guys don't belive these arses who make statements just like that.

i think the speech was good and to the point, very long but he actually explained everything.it's clear to everyone that nobody wants war.
He is going to be either killed or eliminated. Even Bajwa is facing rebellion from his own Corps Commanders. Do you know who commands 111Brigade in PA in Rawalpindi? This brigade was at center of all coups. AND now it is commanded by an Ahmadiya. Go and fool urself. I could have used much stronger words like fu$k etc.

Lol seriously?? instead of focusing on his own country , your PM is busy whining about us. He should have spoken on social indicators of Pakistan and his plan to improve it. How will he improve countrys economic status etc etc. Compare your PM and our PM speech. Our PM only spoke about positives and initiatives for humanity.
No wonder Pakistan is a failed state.
