OPV & amphibious boats & Large auxiliary boats.
Thanks, this would be interesting. Any guess how they plan to use the anti submarine use case projectiles vis-a-vis something like the ER-ASR? The jump in range is very stark contrast compared to the RBU rockets and also hard to make the accuracy work in marine environment ?
ARDE is about to do another round of ER-ASR trials at PXE Balasore and other places, total 3 locations.

My guess is coastal batteries for A2/AD ops against subs. Probably linked to coastal radar, SOSUS, USV/UUV, sats, etc.

ER-ASR's warhead acts as a depth charge. I was thinking if we had a variant of the Pinaka DPICM warhead we could use it to overwhelm enemy sub's sonars.

I am not sure feasible this could be. Just a thought.

All of this was sparked off via Kalyani's participation in the ATAGS program. Army has handled that acquisition in typical Army fashion, abysmally. But that program has given us a formidable artillery gun manufacturer. In a few years we will have a naval 76 mm & a 127 mm gun added to this list.
