They're not doing this because they are aiming at a higher moral purpose. This is not a case of ends justifying the means (never the right logic anyway). They want the money and the power- religious identity is and was primarily a vague tactic. Why do you think they're ready to offer 100 Cr? Because now that they have the seats in bellary, the reddy brothers can once again put illegal mining in full swing. With Sri Ramulu as Dy CM and Reddys in cabinet positions all the blockages to that can be removed. What kind of a mining operation justifies 100s of crores of expenditure in horse trading? One that gives THOUSANDS of CRORES in profits every year. Why do they want to keep it illegal? Because that way they don't pay a single penny worth of taxes. IMQGINE an entire government creted with the intention of not only securing power but actively looting iron ore worth thousands of crores. How do you think anything good will ever come out of this?

a) What was BJP's primary motivation behind Babri Masjid demolition- 'Hindu pride' or communal polarization to lead to votes in UP? Pbviously the latter
b) Gauraksha in MP/UP- hindu sentiment or votes? obviously votes (else why would India continue to be the biggest exporter of beef- a lot of jobs (votes) will be lost if they actually shut down the industry
c) Opposition to SC/ST improvement? votes- they are 30% of electorate but people who want to keep them down are 70% of electorate

Just the way 100 crores for an MLA is not justified, similarly paying 3800 crores for choppers worth 800 crores that too unfit for operations is not justified.
babri masjid was a symbol of atrocities on Hindus perpetuated by muslim invaders and its demolition is fully justified. This issue was never settled in history. over ten wars had been fought for it by Hindu kings and it changed hands manytimes. The excavations done on the site have proven beyond doubt the existence of a Grand temple there.
Gaurakshaks are bloody cheats and thugs who are acting as saviours of gaus. I fully condemn their acts but at the same time I want the various laws passed by Congress govts to be fully implemented to punish those who indulge in cow slaughter in the states where it is banned. No govt till date has done as much for SC/STs as this govt has done. Prove me that this govt has in anyway tried to reduce the welfare funding for SC/STs. The problem is with christian missionaries who are finding the funding difficult to convert STs to christianity.
While you are so hurt about the horse trading by BJP, would you please say something about what happened in Bengal? They have a better way of preventing horse trading. let there be only their horses and kill/rape everyone else or do not let them vote. Forget about voting, do not let them even file nominations. 100 crore is extremely well justified. If Bellary operations are started again, this is small change. All the slag iron will bring thousands of crores to OMC. Typically the reddys start by removing policemen and duty commissioners in bellary who can stop them. Then they want control over the entire corridor from bellary to port so that the hundreds of trucks that operate to move the ore are not stopped. And then control over the port so that the onloading is not stopped. This operation runs day in and day out involving 100s of trucks every single day. I'm not sure where I read it but I believe each truck carries about 2 crore worth of ore. with 100s of trucks each day the complete outlay for the MLAS will be recovered in a few months. And the entire operation spans several hundred KM from mining areas to port. The whole area of bellary and nearby areas have to be kept under iron control so that no impediments to this happen. And this kind of control is best achieved through cabinet positions. Reddys tried to depend upon pure bribing but that created a lot of issues for them. As ministers themselves and Dy CM their confidante they can focus on keeping this running.

Congress gave only reservation and did nothing else. BJP has given them the freedom and dignity to live as equal citizens of India. However I am against caste based resrvations and want it to be more inclusive by making it only for poor and economically weaker sections only. How is a poor muslim different from a poor SC or a poor Brahmin? they all will sell their children to support their family.

They can't even if they form govt. Remember Goa? The govt is knocking at the doors of Sharia Court of India to allow them to restart mining of Iron Ore under SC monitoring.
You may find it strange but if SC gives approval to start mining under it's observation...it's called 'legal' mining.
