If DK Sivakumar is made Dep CM, both CM & Dy CM seats will be with Vokkaligas. This will upset 20 odd Lingayat MLAs of Congress+JDS and if DK Sivakumar is not made Dy CM, he will cross over with his 11 MLAs. The game has just started. What you saw till now was just the initial rushes of this second most educated state of India. Karnataka ka natak ab shuroo hua hai.

Nope. Yeddys utlity and political career is over. Being well over retirement age get was clearly told they bringing him back for this one election. With today's resignation he is finished. Modi and shah can't cook up a fresh face in n his place in a hurry. During the a election he was projected as only leader capable of becoming cm. Any new leader will need more than a year of public profile building. This is assuming to the infighting to replace yeddy ends smooth it won't. Hell it hasn't even started. With this resignation BJP is finished for this term

The Lingayat MLA's will face the heat from the Mathas and Seers for allying with JD(S). Sooner or later there will be disgruntled MLA's after Ministries are allocated and BJP would have all the time in the world to start defections. instead of just 15 Days. By polls if they are held would go against this Congress JD(S) combine.
I believe Yeddy was told beforehand that he is brought out as an exception. I for one hope they break that and let him continue. If BJP stops following 'internal rules' and start making exceptions, soon the rot will spread and they'll have to make exceptions for every other leader. Wait. Two seats are going to polls on 28th and third one vacated by Kumaraswamy will also go to polls soon. Let us wait what happens there and that will decide the longivity of this govt. 104 can easily become 107.
