General Elections are a completely different animal from bypolls, and they are only 1 year away now, probably even less, so don't worry; you'll see the wave when we get there. There are plenty of aces left up Modi's sleeve.

oh wooowwww- I didn't realize. NDTV raised a point (I'm not sure) that with these Bybpoll results BJP on it's own is less than halfway mark and is dependent on allies for government (Shiv Sena can officially screw them). VSTOL if it is true then it explains everything, why they think it is important, wy chandan mitra is depressed and so on. the independent majority that Modi commanded is over.
There was repolling in many areas its summer time and people dont exactly stand in line in 45 degrees heat to vote two days in a row, maybe BJP should have placed these bypolls elections when the monsoon season kicked in.
The opposition it is a do or die situation for them, to show case all is well in the camp. The Muslim voters were herded as cattle to vote two days in a row.While BJP supporters relaxed. General Elections will be a different ball game when all the Core voters will come out in force. By that time the Ram Mandir Verdict will be out and opposition will get routed once it happens.
It is also time for BJP to repeal RTE (only imposed on Hindu run schools), Give ownership of Hindu Temples back to Hindus from state control. If they can do some small adjustments, the gains will be huge. West Bengal Panchayat Elections put BJP in opposition,Congress CPI are gone.

Modi did campaign for these bypolls. And BJP has lost UP which is many other states combined....no Modi wave is accepted by BJP themselves.
