I strongly belive that BJP can get majority single handedly if they make an alliance with Mayawati. I know this won't happen but this alliance will be beneficial for both of them in number of seats than any other formula.

Do you know how many times this lady has ditched and fooled BJP in the past? Even than you want BJP to go with her? Modi has gone mad and needs to be removed from his seat in 2019. His latest SC/ST appeasement gamble is reservations in private jobs. Why should govt force me to hire substandard manpower when it has not invested in my company and the company is owned by me? What help has it given to me to launch the company and when all the risk is mine with zero risk to govt, why should I be asked to carry this burden of reservation? These parasites multiply like rats and want upper caste to feed their children thru taxes and also give jobs to them which rightfully belong to meritorious.
I've been hearing this canard for 25 years. The roots of this canard is even older. No previous government has ever seriously considered this demand. What makes you think the incumbent GoI is willing to consider it?
As regards Mayawati, her bastion is UP. While her caste brethren did initially support the party in Punjab, Rajasthan CG & MP too, it was because of the clout she had courtesy her party's performance in UP. She squandered that goodwill. Please compare the performance of the BSP in state elections in the states I've named from 2003 onwards and you'd see a huge drop in the vote share as well as the seats won.
She's useful to the BJP in UP particularly as well as the other states if she doesn't associate with the MGB. That'd ensure the votes are split and the BJP gets a pass.

She is a big fraud like Khujli. She now makes money by selling seat tickets and if she had gone with any alliance, she would not have been able to make the kind of money which she will by contesting every seat. So please do not give me this gyaan.

Republic gives NDA 276 in what is practically a worst case scenario for them. In this scenario, SS is not allied with BJP in Maharashtra. They did not add YSRCP (21), TRS (9) or BJD (6) seats in the NDA tally, even though they are all likely to tie up with BJP post polls. And most importantly this includes an SP-BSP tie-up which takes BJP from 70 to 34 seats.

But if you are mad at Modi for trying to keep a community in good humor, which is numerically significant, which reproduces at much higher rates, which aggressively votes its caste, which already is doubtful of BJP's intentions, and which decides the outcome of elections in crucial states like UP & Bihar; and if your solution to this is to vote for the Leftist alliance which pioneered these disgusting politics in the first place - then best of luck to you.

Please explain to me how can calling a person by his caste which is written in our constitution be punishable offence? First remove those words from constitution, then stop its usage? The act which justifies these reservations identifies these people by their caste. These castes are written in our laws? Can you stop me from using what is written in my constitution?
India a secular nation. SC/ST act is against the basic tenets of the constitution as it is specific to a group of people. Either it shud be made applicable to all or to none. I am a Brahmin and you are a Rajput, if I go by your name here. If calling a person by caste is a crime for upper caste, it should be a crime for lower castes also with similar punishment and conditions. Let me see who raises the slogan of Tilak, tarazoo aur Talwaar after that and who calls me and you-Manuwaadi.
I was talking purely on basis of numbers, not ideology. Everyone knows she is a fraud, even her supporters knows she is a complete fraud but she got strong vote bank not just in UP but nearby states too which is aligned with proper force it can be force multiplier, alone it doesn't mean much. Alignment with Akhilesh wont be optimal. Both SP and BSP can be natural allies of BJP of today with nearly full vote transfer as 2nd choice of both SP and BSP voters is BJP, 3rd is other party.
You should also know it's politics, nothing is ever impossible here. If given chance BJP will jump to have a alliance not withstanding old bad blood, it's Mayawati who doesn't want it fearing BJP will take away her votes for good, muslim vote is secondry factor.

Today, BJP has laregst support among muslims. And I can say with lot of authority. You can read my posts on another forum about 2017 election in UP and my seat projections. Shias and non-sunnies are very very strongly in support of BJP while over 80% sunni women are supporting BJP. They don't need SC/ST with them.

SP got marginally higher due to its alliance with Congress. Scs never voted for BJP. It was Upper caste Hindus and muslims who gave the land slide to BJP.
BTW, what combination of Muslims and Hindus ruled India for over 200 years under Mongols? It was Upper castes and Muslims.

In that case you almost certainly went to school with one person or another from my extended family.
Anyways, I don't like this amendment any more than you do; but the situation is such that the BJP didn't have much of a choice but to pander to SC/ST's here; not doing what they did might have led to a wipeout in certain areas like UP and Bihar, for example.
As an Upper Caste person, as a Right Winger, and as a Hindu-Nationalist; between BJP and the unholy, opportunistic Leftist/Naxal/Islamofascist/SC-ST Supremacist khichdi; I have no doubt about which side serves my needs, my family's needs and the nation's needs better. The BJP's core base is Upper Castes, but because they are outnumbered, because they aren't as enthusiastic voters at times, and because they can occasionally become upset (Traders upset over GST, or Rajputs in Rajasthan upset over several different things) - BJP absolutely *had* to take the opportunity during this term to expand its social base so that it can deliver on the agenda that you and I (presumably) support by staying in power for several more terms and having the necessary majorities in legislative assemblies, as well as insulating itself from future electoral shocks.
If you and others become upset, and by some chance the BJP Government actually doesn't come back (I'm certain it will, but still); then once your anger over this matter subsides you will very likely rue your mistake - once the "Secular" Khichdi Coalition engages in massive corruption, makes a mockery of administration, suffers from policy paralysis, engages in naked Islamist Appeasement, goes soft on Pakistan, bends over in front of China, fails to prevent countless major terror attacks and instead blames them on "Hindu/Saffron Terror" and engages in SC/ST appeasement that makes this SC/ST Amendment look like Manuwaad by comparison.
