Neither the army nor the air force are actually interested in the Barak 8ER. Only the IN is interested in it, and they call it VLRSAM.

The land based launcher for the ER is slightly different, but it's possible the navy's launchers are already compatible with the ER. So I haven't heard any specific news regarding this. But the P-15Bs will be equipped with ER.

Not similar , look at the rear most section , it is not present in barak er
Because AAD rear section has been used as part of the solid booster .

Barak er booster does not have close coupled jet vanes and fins , which the XRSAM booster has as an extra.

Poosted the pics in missile thread

XRSAM - 16 fins , jet vanes coupled to fins
Barak er - 12 fins

It's so obvious the difference

Posted the reasons in drdo thread in df.i

Doubt much of it's true.

On LRSAM (Long Range Surface to Air Missile), he said 11 ship sets of orders are already in the kitty with the first set likely to be supplied by March 2020.
To a query on offset business from the Rafale deal, Gowtama said orders worth $17 million are in place through its partner, Thales.
On the space front, Gowtama said BEL completed assembly of one satellite for strategic missions and more orders are expected this year.
