Namica Mk2.
Namer APC, IFV from Israel
View attachment 36103
Probably the best APC in world by Protection currently in service..... Heavy, but built specifically for Israel to fight wars at doorsteps ( similar situation here in India ). Something like this in a desert region bordering Pakistan will do wonders.
T 15 Heavy IFV from Russia

When & a big if.....in future when it goes into production & service.....will probably be the best IFV at least on protection + firepower.
KF-41 Lynks from Germany
View attachment 36106
Again very heavily armoured IFV... Probably the best IFV in service currently worldwide in all aspects.
& Finally DRDO & L&T Future 15-18 Tonnes Tin Can IFV in trials
View attachment 36107
The best thing about this BMP 2 Replacing Tin Can is that as long as it can cross any river or canal... it's the best IFV in da world according to Indian Army
We can.... Arjun based IFV, APC version could have & would have worked fine but than it would not have been able to cross the rivers & canal cos that all matter for Army not protection & firepower etc. Can't we modify Zorawar, T90, Arjun to get Light medium & heavy IFV?
WW-2era look.Namer APC, IFV from Israel

I don't think those side skirts are armour in light tank...... Probably there to provide buoyancy in water.... T-90M is upward of 51 Tonnes now with new Arena APS & with possible Afganit APS system in future will probably get much heavier.WW-2era look.
I'm glad they are using modular armour like side skirts on the light tank prototype but the frontal arc still needs more protection.
The Russians have clearly upped the game with their latest AFV and IFV designs.
The latest T-90M has also added a ton of armour and now weighs close to 50t.
The IAs T-90Mk3 in comparison is nowhere close. We are still fixated on mobility at the cost of everything else.
I'd say they should have gone with the Russian upgrade package rather than trying to do it on their own.
The Russians have had their fingers burnt in Ukraine and are adapting their tanks and other armour based on on-field feedback.
We should try to learn from them instead of sticking our heads in the sand.
This is not true.... Booker is not a light tank.... It weigh same as T-72 & will get heavier when deployed in real battle + it's role is to support infantry & be part of infantry brigade Combat teams & not replace heavy MBT role.Russia is moving from T-72B3, BMP and BTR series towards heavier T-90M. This trend started well before the Ukraine war with the arrival of Armata, Kurganets-25, etc.
OTOH, the West is shifting to the light-medium category now, as evidenced by the new Booker M-10 LT and Abrams-X. So its like they've switched places with each other. The USMC is phasing out all its Abrams in favour of lighter vehicles.
Japan with its Type-10 and France with Leclerc, both in the 40-50t range (+modular armour when needed), are already there.
It'll be interesting to see what China does after the Type-99A2.
Since DRDOs 1500HP engine is coming along well, we should be aiming for 50t class FMBT at the very least.

Light tank is a scam won't survive any real combat. Russians are learning the hard way.
