Islamic Republic of Pakistan : News, Discussions & Updates

@safriz loved the question man “You Tull !!!”
We too use this word for exact same purpose.

BTW it’s decade old video. Not worth posting.
Yeah journalists trying to make a story. What's wrong with that?
Plus there have been multiple cases of drink driving by foreigners in Islamabad.
Some ended in loss of lives of the locals.

But they also pay obscene amounts as blood money . Why don't you consider that? Remember that CIA contractor who murdered two Paxtanis in broad daylight? The amount paid to the family of the deceased made them millionaires many times over.

Why are you so keen to deprive some poor Paxtani family their fortune. So many Paxtanis get killed by fellow Paxtanis sometimes by accident but mostly intentionally but somehow blood money to be paid for the same Paxtani by a foreigner instead of a Paxtani is much more. Some Paxtanis are truly more lucky for their families than the others.More valuable dead than alive. Then there are the likes of you driven by your jealousy. You just can't stand the fact that some lucky Paxtani family will earn more money in an instant than you would make in your entire life or even 3 lives even if your family inherits the grocery store & your insurance. Shame on you!!

Harrasment, don't you think it's self-destructive for own and people at large to accuse someone but not file legal case. From the video, one could make out that people around the foreigner were pushing him for individual interviews while he wanted them to press charges with law enforcement which locals seemed hesitant about.

(IANS)
The curriculum board of Pakistan's Punjab province has imposed an immediate ban on at least 100 books with a plan of banning many more being taught in private schools for carrying blasphemous and anti-Pakistan content.
The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board's (PCTB) Managing Director Raj Manzoor Hussain Nasir, took the decision on Thursday, stating that it had been reviewing at least 10,000 books being taught by private schools across the province.

"In the first phase, PCTB has banned 100 books of 31 publishers including Oxford and Cambridge for blasphemous, immoral and anti-Pakistan content," he said.
"The PCTB has formed 30 committees for this purpose."
Nasir said that critical review of the books revealed that "distorted facts about Pakistan and its creation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal were being taught to the children", while many books also contained "blasphemous content".
One important part of the review revelations by PCTB was that many books portrayed Pakistan as inferior to India while Pakistan-administered Kashmir was shown as part of India in maps of some books also.
"Instead of including sayings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal, one of the books carried sayings of Mahatma Gandhi" said Nasir.
"One of the books by Cambridge tried to promote crime and violence among the students on the basis of unemployment in the country."
Taking immediate notice of the matter, at least 100 books have been banned immediately with publishers directed to stop publishing and selling them books.
Moreover, District Education Authorities (DEAs) across the province have been directed to visit private schools (after reopening) to check if the banned books are still being taught.
"First Investigation Report (FIR) will be registered against publishers for violations under provisions of Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Act 2015," he said.
The step taken by the Punjab government is likely to be implemented by other provinces in the country in the coming days as Pakistan looks forward to challenge the curriculum structure of big names like Oxford and Cambridge. Critical review of at least 10,000 books is in process, which would increase the number of banned books a lot higher in the coming days.
Educationists have said that PCTB should have had a mechanism of scrutiny of books in place before letting them be published as 30 committees, along with DEA visits to over 97,000 schools in Punjab province, would be a very time consuming task.

India appointed Pak lawyer for Kulbhushan Jadhav, was declined case documents
Highlighting the "farcical nature of Pakistan’s approach" in Kulbhushan Jadhav review and reconsideration case, India on Thursday said that it had appointed a Pakistani lawyer for the case but Islamabad declined to give required case documents.

The Minister of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Anurag Shrivastava, in response to a question on India's stance on the case, said, "India appointed a Pakistani lawyer to obtain the relevant documents. To our surprise, as advised by the Pakistani authorities, when the authorised Pakistani lawyer approached the concerned authorities, they declined to hand over the documents to the lawyer."

Islamabad in May had come with an Ordinance for review and reconsideration of Jadhav case to implement the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) judgement last year in which India got a major diplomatic victory. Under the Ordinance, a review petition can be filed in the case within two months.

India was keen to file a review petition and had "repeatedly requested Pakistan for relevant documents". Islamabad had advised India that the relevant documents could be handed over only to an "authorised Pakistani lawyer."

India tried to file a petition on July 18, days before the Ordinance was to lapse but India's Pakistani lawyer was "informed that a review petition could not be filed in the absence of power of attorney and supporting documents" related to the case.

Calling the developments as a violation of the judgment of ICJ, but also of its own Ordinance, the MEA spokesman said, "Pakistan has completely failed to provide the remedy as directed by the ICJ and India reserves its position in the matter, including its rights to avail of further remedies" and New Delhi sees Ordinance as "Pakistan's non-serious in its approach" blocking "all the avenues for an effective remedy available for India."

India had shared its "concerns" regarding the Ordinance "including a considerable delay in informing India about its promulgation, with the Pakistan authorities." According to MEA, Pakistan took two weeks about the Ordinance and shared the copy of the Ordinance only after India requested for it.

Last week Indian diplomats were invited for consular access for Jhadav and get but the "arrangements did not permit a free conversation" according to the ministry of external affairs statement of the same week. The 2 Indian diplomats also could not get his written consent for arranging his legal representation also. India has so far requested consular access twelve times over the past year.

The Pakistan government under the Ordinance first claimed Jhadav has refused to file a petition, then, on Wednesday filed a petition in Islamabad high court requesting the court to appoint a lawyer for the case.

The six-page petition said, "It is therefore prayed that in order to facilitate compliance with the Judgment of the International court of justice ICJ, this hon'ble court may be pleased to appoint any suitable advocate practising before this court to file a petition for review and reconsideration of the conviction & sentence" of Kulbhushan under the ordinance.

The ICJ, in response to a WION question whether the Indian or Pakistani government has approached it on the 2019 Judgement, said, "Judgment of the Court, which is binding, final and without appeal".

Speculations are being made that India might go to the UN court back after non-implementation of 2019 judgement by Pakistan.

While India says Jadhav, an Indian National, was abducted from Iran, Pakistan claims he is a spy. He was sentenced Pakistani military court in 2017 with India going to ICJ and able to get a stay on the order.

But what do they plan to do after 30mins standing on road every friday for Kashmir.

Abhi-none-done, Tea is fantastic, Su30 shot down, rinse and repeat. 27 Feb should suffice for next 50 years for aam abduls.

Keeping jokes apart, they will try to bank on ram mandir's Aug 5 event and will "collaborate" out a narrative regarding Kashmir.

This is no video game. Its different from LoC firing. You can lob a few shells on the LoC and claim they were trying to sneak in terrorists. Its very hard to justify sending in a missile on a Brig HQ. It is deemed escalatory and costs us diplomatic goodwill which we will need by the Kilo if we are planning to hit Pak and China.

As per the seniors here, if that happens it will be fun to watch India smash these guys.

Having said that - I feel we are going to do the usual chai pe charcha - military meetings, diplomatic meetings, leadership meetings and thats it.

Pakistan ISI heard the chat between Abhi and His wife. His wife is a retd Sqn. Ldr. From IAF and she asked him to bring a bag of that tea. Infect she even asked him while he was in captivity if the tea was better than what she prepared for him? Pakistan should have realised at that time what kind of resolve we Indians have and how we are supported by our families in the job we do.
