Kashmir : Counter Terror Operation Updates and Discussions

The numbers tell that it's full fledged asymmetric clash. Pak lost one battalion in 6 months as per the news.

Seems like after loosing one whole battalion Pakistan is on the way to lose one whole brigade of their trained yahoos in Kashmir to Indian forces within next 6 months.
killing foot soldiers is of no use, they will keep sending in the rats. We need to wipe out of the support system like jamaat that is on the ground. Once that is done infiltration itself will become hard. Once we go after the overground support and crush them, things will move faster. It will actually help us concentrate our forces on the border while police can take care of the hinterland.

Another thing is from cost perspective, foot soldiers dont cost much its the overground infra that would require more money as they face more risk if caught. As more of them are caught & prosecuted ( or ....) risk for these supporters increases and so does cost. Then they need to intimidate ppl to support terrorists or put in more funds which is usually got by extortion or illegal drug running. When that happens ppl will bear more brunt and will come out openly against them. Its a war of attrition who holds out longer wins.

The whole Jihadi infrastructure itself doesn’t cost much. All you need is some money for small arms and IEDs and a ton of brainwashed people. Former is managed by collecting zakaat and later is avilable in pakistan dozens a dime.
Training is provided by ex-servicemen.
