There is no Mk1a trainer, only one version of the trainer variant which is exactly the same as the Mk1 trainer.

But won't trainers be required since MK1A has a different radar and improved/added electronics? Simulators are sufficient?
Don't need a trainer to have the exact same configuration as the fighter.
Further if I am optimistic SPORT version will come online in future providing conversion training solutions for both MK1A and MK2.
SPORT's meant for rookies though. Although it can be used as a conversion trainer, the Mk1/A fleet will have enough trainers anyway. Mk2 will need its own conversion trainer, the Mk1 trainer and SPORT won't be suitable for it due to range limitations.

Yep. Conversion trainers for rookies are meant to get the pilots familiar with the jet.
The Tejas program led to the development of Mass Flow Control Unit (MFCU) for characterizing intakes. A miniature version of the MFCU has been developed for characterizing intakes of in the wind tunnel without needing a full sized model. This is being used to design intakes for the fighters in development.

SPT-01 will come out from LCA division and SPT-02 will come from the 2nd line.

SP-21, tail number LA-5021, the first FOC certified series production Tejas Mk1 flew yesterday for the first time.
Air to air probe integrated, 3 drop tank config with pressure refueling, Gsh-23 cannon integrated, new dual carriage pylons, new Auto Low Speed Recovery mode in the FCS, Derby BVRAAM integrated.

Dual carriage pylon is for the outer most wing station to house SPJ & CCM I guess.. Like the config of Mk1A.
If BVR mid station is also dual pyloned, it ll be even more attractive.
Like tyhoon, the gun is just added to keep the weight balanced. The gun is not certified as of yet. Although it's there, it cannot be used.
