If its Israeli radar then Python, I Derby combo, if its french AESA then ASRAAM and Meteor (if it can be carried by LCA)
LCA Tejas MK-1A set to get even more deadlier - To be armed with Meteor Missiles: India Today
The blunder Mosquito jet won't come close to LCA, claimed range of JF is a lie. It is F-16s which will try to come inside Indian territory. With elta 2052 and Meteor, Mk 1a is going to shoot down Jf 17 blunder like mosquitoes....

it takes common sense...a jet heavier than LCA in weight, approximately same fuel and engine thrust has range 3 times that of LCA? Not unless you break the laws of physics.
Yes that’s the point. They’ve selectively set the parameters to make it look large. The LCA Mk1 has 50-100Km less basic range than the JF-17 Block 2. More range depends on how much fuel the jets carry in external tanks.
The JF-17's claimed range is not a lie, but the definition of range is highly subjective. You get different ranges at different speeds and altitudes for the same aircraft even without external payload. Different payload have different effects on range. Range at sea level is drastically lower than range at cruising altitude. You can even burn up all your fuel in just a few minutes if you turn on afterburner.
When the IAF gave the range of LCA, it was for a specific mission profile, it wasn't basic range. JF-17's advertised range was a brochure spec and had nothing to do with mission range. Brochure specs can give you some clues about the aircraft's capabilities, nothing else. So LCA Mk1 is advertised with a basic range of 1700-1750Km while JF-17's basic range is advertised as 1800Km. MKI's is advertised as 3000Km in some, 3200Km in some others. Some have even said 3600Km, potentially due to some major engine improvements.
LCA or JF-17 can comfortably outrange even the MKI depending on mission profile. But if the mission profile is the same, then LCA and JF-17's range will be quite similar while the MKI will outrange both.
When it comes to range, there is no fixed value.

Serial production of India’s indigenously developed Tejas Mk 1A Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) could face further delays as the Indian Air Force (IAF) demands the incorporation of new and upgraded systems.
Sources from within manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) told Jane’s on 22 May that the IAF recently informed the state-owned aerospace company that the Mk 1A model needs to feature advanced ‘smart cockpit’ multi-function displays and identification friend-or-foe (IFF) systems.
Moreover, the service demands that digital map generators and upgraded radio altimeters be fitted onto the aircraft before it is approved for serial production.
Industry sources said that although some of these systems can be commercially sourced, integrating them with the software currently installed on the fighter’s mission computer would be “time-consuming” and could defer the fighter’s production schedule by about two years.

@Aashish said earlier that we're looking for 150+ modifications now still i don't think there will be more delays though.some more delays....
This plane is damn.
IAF is obsessed with putting fighters in weight classes .Rafale delivery will commence in September 2019 | Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa | Rafale | India | Defence
The next step would be the design and development of the LCA Mk2 which has been renamed as medium weight fighter (MWF).
MCA would have been so much better. But MWF it is.

It's for the bureaucracy.
