Going by the tail code (LA5028), it looks like a FOC MK1. The 1st Mk1A tail code is LA5033 and the recently flown 2nd unit is LA5034. Plus, the positioning of the sensor/antenna on the tail (I don't know which sensor) has changed from MK1 to Mk1A.

₹1.3 lakh crore order for 97 LCA Tejas Mk1A & 156 LCH Prachand to be placed in next 3-6 months: @HALHQBLR Chairman DK Sunil pic.twitter.com/qh4xo8Ia9G
MK1A is still not ready. Expected to start receiving not before 2025 year end as per latest inputs. That may be the reason IAF chief was pissed at HAL.5 Mk1A is ready.. isn't it better than all other jets except Rafale .. ( with opex lot less than Rafale , should be the work horse )
Place the order for additional 97 GE engines at the least..
with 24 annual rate + planned additional line (8) = 32 / year , initial order of 72 Mk1A + 10 trainers will be done in 3 years.
Tejas Mk-1A delivery to begin by 2025 end, contract for 97 more & combat helicopters soon

Wasn't there a common launcher they were working on?Pylon for Astra has to be designed ?

Image unwittingly explains the travails of a fragmented approach to indigenous weapons. Indian missile designed to match Ru launcher originally designed to serve as both launcher and pylon, now attached to another pylon (actually meant for heavy stores) but via an adaptor! https://t.co/18a6QWgpcQ

IAF with Industry developing a universal Launcher for MKI.which is able to fit in 1-10 stations.2 ver r planned AtA,AtG. AtG launcher can carry 50-1500 Kg Weapons.AtA compatible with Rail & catapult launch. This will help in omit diff launchers from diff OEM useing in MKI pic.twitter.com/RVhjLGOUAA

This is exactly what the IAF head was talking about when he said Mk1A is still not delivered. The Mk1A, which was discussed with IAF, is a complete package with missile firing capabilities with certification, not displaying a variety of missiles on the pylon of the Mk1A. Now I am not sure what HAL has confirmed to IAF. We know these BABUs have a bad habit of nodding their heads for everything. Hope they haven't confirmed adding nuclear bombs with MK1AImage unwittingly explains the travails of a fragmented approach to indigenous weapons. Being saying that since long. Once againWe should look for a podded IRST like Legion pod too. Without it MK1A may remain in a disadvantageous environment where all radio waves are jammed. J-10C will have a upper hand in that scenario.

We run a massive defense and cyber defense business. Let me clarify:
1. 6th gen jets don't exist.
2. China's so-called "5th gen" can't match even the Tejas.
3. The PLA Air Force would struggle to handle Su-30MKI in a real…
No, I was quoting on the integration of missiles like Astra MK1/2 and JDAM and Hammer on the Tejas MK1A which are commited by HAL. These should be certified before the MK1A is delivered to the IAF. You are correct; the universal adapter was an IAF project, not HAL.From what I understand in those tweets India developed Pylon cum launcher for Su30 & Astra missile.
But not developed Pylon / launcher for Tejas,
For that they made a adaptor fixing the pylon cum launcher of Su series to Tejas pylon.
Universal launcher seems to be for Su series .
Evaluation trials of CASDIC ASPJ for Tejas mk1 A is going on now.
