China is just buying time to mobilize enough assets by "talking". And we are taking the bait.
If our OSINT handles are source for this info, we can ignore this. They are well known for their credibility

Anyway if sharp weapons were used it shows premeditated intent. One thing I can count on is that the company must have retaliated if not then, then afterwards. Truth will only emerge later till then we can only speculate.
IMO no news or confirmation will be forthcoming on the true nature of the incident. The Indian govt and army will fight whenever they think they are ready, independent of the provocations and when the shit goes south, everything will be accounted for.
Why else there is such a hurry to complete border infra, ferrying 11k odd labourers for completion of the projects. It only means one thing, we are still someway off from where we want to be. Till then its just buying time.

If interested, you can create a new thread with government bashing, which is everybody's right, I will even join you there. But not here please. Let this thread remain focused on LAC situation only.
The problem is the word "diffuse". Why has it been so much repeated in official statement?
I know for a fact even regional patrols duration was increased (in eastern sector), rest I can't ask much for raising heckles.

Edit: If the mofos congressis had completed the requisite border infra for movement of goods and troops on time, we wouldn't be ferrying 11 thousand labourers and finishing the work on war scale at such a time.

I'd see this incident as pre meditated to put pressure on the Indian side to accommodate Chinese claims during negotiations. It's interesting to note that the Chinese haven't fired a shot thus in principal not violating the various agreements we've signed with them for maintaining peace & tranquility on the LAC. Short of bringing or firing a gun they've brought out all other lethal weapons namely : sticks, studded sticks, stones & now possibly knives & swords as @DivineHeretic is claiming which seems plausible given their modus operandi.
See this incident for what it is. Indians not compromising in negotiations with the Chinese on restoring the status quo ante & the Chinese trying every trick in their book to get India to accede to their demands. The Chinese aren't going to back down. If their external affairs ministry spokesman has claimed that India is responsible for this latest escalation, that's exactly what the PLA will be claiming with belligerence in the border meetings which in turn means there's not much scope for expectations to de escalate & restoration of the status quo ante.
The only options before us is to either to back down or attempt to throw the Chinese out which would obviously mean escalation.
