Folks, I have a really bad news to share with you... We cann't fix India's bending over back policy when it comes to defence. No it cann't be done by ballot. The reason is simple. Trouble is not purely in those who sit in parliament. It is much more insidious. It is in dubba-wallas who operate out of Raksha Mantralay. You cann't remove them. They are a permanent fixture.
As I thought. Incidence is done. Surrender is complete. Now it is being sold to public.
If the news of casualties on their size is true as well, I don't think PLA has ever lost a soldier in any of its actions since a long time. This would surely be an eye opener for them as they have been the aggressors for too long against weak militaries and civilians. it just feels good to see them at the receiving end for a change. I don't think the Indian army will be easy on them in the future.
OT : I guess all of our discussions on weapons, equipments etc are useless on this forum. The centre piece of all of our discussions should be this from now forth.

I know. And it is not just leaders. It is Nehru, Menon, Thammaiya and lots of other past Dabba-Wallas of south block who are casting their shadows on our present setup.
No dear, its slightly more complicated.
Dabba Wallas in south block have concluded no lethal force to be used lest we spook the businessmen and *censored* the careers of dabba wallas and netas. They are also pushing for roads to be built because funds have been sanctioned.
This has left soldiers to figure out a way to co-exist with Chinese soldiers. After all they have to deal with them day in and day out. Hence these meetings.
What you are seeing is a dissonance between Dabba-Walas and Military.
Soldiers fight war. Diplomats negotiate. Dabba-Walas are supposed to support both and run administration. Trouble is, dabba-wallas are now pushing breaks and accelarator at the same time. So soliders cann't fight, and diplomats have no chip to negotiate. Meaning military have to find some way to avoid conflict and casualities with Chinese military while pushing the BRO projects.
I don't want to be in this situation if I were a soldier. Wonder how these folks are able to keep their sanity.
The news of 5 dead PLA Soldiers is such a circle jerk. Some ASSINT declared 5 dead, Chinese journalist picked it and presented as own, after it went viral backtracked, showed the source, yet only her faulty tweet is picked by media and others to present it as news.

Thats right. There is no official confirmation of this & if I am right, there won't be.
The reason is simple, we have declared that we have lost three (confirmed) & if the Chinese get to sit pretty if they don't declare anything on their part.
We on the other hand are busy talking about 'diffusing the situation' & 'de-escalation'.
It's India who is buying time not the Chinese. This is why they are getting frustrated. They know they wont be able to sustain winters.
Even editor of GT tweeted about Chinese casualties , so the reports are indeed true , what remains is only the number

Please do not over react. Just remember that IA lost a Col and a JCO alongwith one OR. IA always retaliates massively when the CO dies. Do not go by whatever is being posted but just remember that IA does not keep quiet if a CO dies. Chinese have openly stated that India crossed over twice. Why twice? apply your mind.
We also need to see how many are a result of injuries due to blows and how many are injured due to fall from the high ground.

I go by one rule. Skin in the game. Army has skin in the game. CO and soldiers always have skin in the game. I am sure they will do the right. Even politicians have somewhat skin in the game.
There is one class that does not have skin in the game. Its the dabba-walla babu in south block. And unfortunately, they hold too many cards now. I hope our army brass keeps these in check.

Ofcourse there will be casualties on their side too. What's visible from limited delayed information and theatrics from Indian establishment is that Indian soldier deaths are just numbers, they are so so so afraid that they haven't even claimed yet how many Chinese were killed/wounded.
Think about it guns were not used so it's physical brawl, we would have the exact number but still afraid it will offend Chinese and talks may not succeed so not releasing it.
Is this official?
Also, the incident, how is started, who started it. These are some of the questions that doesn't have any answer as of now.
I bet IA can release a statement addressing all these, but chose not to.
Does violent & massive retaliation work with stone & sticks?
