Exactly they came well prepared. We need to ensure that our military has long term plan & set objectives and execute on them instead of waiting on useless ppl in parliament. Only highly critical matters like using nukes or declaring full scale war should be given to politicians. Its not only we are too late in responding to threats but misjudge them way too badly giving the enemy the advantage.

That's why my respect for the soldiers of Indian Army is unwavering they always fight with one of the hand tied behind their back. Remember kargil, it was impossible to even climb a 90 degree slope leave aside fighting with continuous machine gun firing towards them.

So, is there any justification now to maintain 2 lakh troops on the LAC.. and incur huge expenditures on salaries and pensions for these guys, when India is not in a position to use military force against China..
The only way to attack back is to order massive air raid on Chinese positions and then send our troops capture those and post images. Let them escalate then.
But first we must withdraw from all those meaningless post 1993 agreements.. But, I don't think Modi has the will..

What Sawhney says is right.. LAC is a military line, amenable to change via military force.. and we have ITBP and SSB being primarily responsible for holding this line.. You might say that Chinese border guards patrol the LAC and not PLA. But, if it was India, buildig permanent structures in gray zones, and pushing the LAC, PLA would have taken complete control..
This was the first time, Hindu nationalists were truly tested against China.. China wont stop until india agrees to be a vassal state, and accepts BRI, and gives up any great power aspirations. This is a welcome time for Hindus to introspect, whether we have the "Will to power".. The power differential between India and China is much lesser than the power differential between China and the US during the korean war. US could have won had it deployed massively on the scale that China did. But, the US was not ready for the costs and settled for a draw..

There is nothing called LAC, as far as India goes. We never had it demarkated. It cuts both ways. We can also push them back. Though dabba wallas will still stick of Peace Tranquility De-escalation Diffuse etc.
A single shot of Indian tricolor over locations claimed by them will undo all that propaganda. No need to play the hand enemy is playing, play bigger hand.

Its not defense minister who is running the show. Its south block and the inmates of that. He was selected because he gels well with the inmates of south block.
Actually fighting with sticks and stones should have been favourable for us.... Why we didn't deploy enough forces to over power Chinese is a mystery. We should put ITBP under IA control and deploy 50 K folks in the region and just flood those positions with superior number. If they escalate to firearms or arty, start dropping bombs on them from ALL the airbases in the region. At that point all the treaty will be null and void in any sense of the word.
