Yeah, that's another line of thinking, the Taiwanese won't put up a fight at all. But that's unlikely to happen simply because Taiwan is an island and invading an island is one of the hardest of all military operations, something the Taiwanese are keen on taking advantage of. At the very least, the Taiwanese are going to fight until Chinese troops actually manage to land in enough numbers to pose a threat. It's not a good idea for the US to sit out of the conflict because next will be Japan, and then the US will be forced to fight anyway. So it's more advantageous for the US to fight China while Taiwan still exists.

Chinese are trying to demoralise IA & babus before they initiate an action and I believe there is going to be a short conflict. First QUAD and now AUKUS is really a threat to China's influence and curtailing their ambitions. China has to act fast and take out couple of potential threats in region before an alliance can form greatly reducing China's chances of success later.

Then take POK. Without territorial gains you are not a military power mind that.
We have plenty of tanks in our positions too. The last I heard, Chushul and Depsang have an armoured brigade each, that's between 90-120 tanks. And there are other infantry brigade formations as well, with 12 tanks in each brigade. Closer to home, our air support will be better too.
