to upflift the economy and get access to central Asia to transport your goods and open direct connection. You can also bring oil supplies directly from Turkmenistan.

Neelam Valley has very high potential of trourism that will further add to economy which most baniyas talk about.

This will also give opportunity to India to create strategic depth inside Pakistan.

There are many more reasons that is to counter Chinese in Karakoram, etc.

It also makes no sense of sending soldiers getting them killed without getting an inch of territory where as rest of India is busy watching cricket and making money.

All wars are being fought for the land, either Indians are so rich they don't need land or they can't.

If you don't take it then you will be losing whole Kashmir in near future. Pakistan will make sure that you fight with China.

By the mid-80s Pak decided that they can longer match India's conventional capabilities. Ever since then their forces are merely for deterrence, not for warfighting. In fact even in 1971 we could have taken back a lot of lost land had we been allowed to.

Today, expert opinion, not my opinion, says a conventional war with Pakistan won't be a war, but a one-sided massacre.

Fighting a war is all great and everything on paper, until one realises the daily cost of war can go up to $10B a day. Just maintaining a small force in Afghanistan has cost the US $2T over 20 years. So what makes you think Pakistan has the money or resources to fight a war? The most important aspect of warfare is not the specs of a battle tank or infantry gear, but logistics and the ability to maintain supply lines. We won Kargil War by starving the Pak forces. When our forces finally took back all the peaks, all they found were emaciated and broken Pak soldiers. It wasn't even a fight by then.

You forget that in just a few days, soldiers on the field will run out of food and water. Who's gonna supply them with food and water when the navy's blockaded oil supplies and the air force has taken out their supply lines? Hell, even public fuel bunks can be attacked, there are less than 10000 in total in Pakistan. What do you think will happen to all of Pakistan if we take over their highways and stop fuel supply? Who's gonna supply cities with food? Who's gonna supply power to farmers for irrigation when we take out all the power plants? Good luck fighting on an empty stomach.

PA's goal is to last long enough, probably two or three days, with plenty of nuclear sabre-rattling, for international pressure to be applied on India forcing a ceasefire before they are annihilated.

Read up on Battle of Longewala and ask yourself why it cannot be replicated across the entire front.

But we need them for now to keep US at an arms distance.

Time will tell. Galwan happened. All the rhetoric and propaganda going on from the Chinese side might be to project a picture to their countrymen regarding India being "evil". Not sure about the point of these if they don't follow it up meaningfully.

Its all part of a plan. Gobble land, sit tight with troops, wait out the Indian reaction, let things calm down. Then grab land somewhere else. This model has worked for a long time for them. Why will they start a war and risk all the money we give them each year?
