This plan is not without cost. Such belligerence isn't only making China lose business but also making india hostile in terms of long neglected border infrastructure development, shifting alliances and weapons purchase.
But what I guess trigger might be is death of Dalai lama, natural or otherwise, and india backing new lama which may threaten Chinese hold on Tibet.
This is where our lack of decisiveness comes into play. The Chinese know India is very shy on forming proper alliances and going on the offensive.

Chinese know that more than half of the government sector and PSU are under loss, due to incapability of the workforce. They know that Indian government officials don't want to work. And China just has to protect this Indian bureaucratic system in India. Half of the job is done.

well it seems they have formalized actions to defend the border without any necessity to always get order from Beijing. Now local commander can decide.
But don't worry, our FM Jaishanker is highly educated man, in case of such events he is a great negotiator. He will lead the MEA and with his knowledge of IFS officer, UPSC clearer , who has read many books as well, will surely send China back.

They are deciding on their own that the grey zone they have captured is now their sovereign territory. If the law is fully implemented, it means the Chinese local commanders can no longer retreat from the grey zones and have to defend the territories they now control. They can't allow Indian patrols anymore without fighting.

Since when MEA officials have become expert of law and defence? If they were so expert in translating chinese move, why didn't the Indian embassy in Beijing advice settling people near LAC on Indian side in their report?

all of them are China expert, have served in Indian embassy , Beijing multiple times and one of them is now Foreign Minister. And still you have Indian territory in Chinese control.

Had these MEA officials done their job well, India would have not lost 20 soldiers in Galwan. I want to know what do they do in their Beijing Office? What is their contribution to Indian diplomacy in China? Except for getting their foreign allowance and funds for partying around which they don't use it for national cause and rather send it to their bank accounts.
Where as Chinese diplomatic corpse is such a robust organization monitored by the MSS generating reports on every industrial, political, educational and military sector for the sake of national interest and acting on it through collective measures taken with their business lobby. Fronting the Chinese interest with high momentum and aggressive diplomacy. This has made made China grow.

yeah thats really a stupid statement, he should have responded we give two f**** for your self serving law. Some one remind him that he should follow the Indian laws not the foreign one. I bet chinese would be laughing their asses off negotiating with such buffoons.
If the MEA had some chutzpah they should have asked chinese to respect Indian laws not the other way around.

The MEA is responsible for cultivating enemies around India than friends that's what the matter is. The MEA has failed multiple times in an account to tilt China to your side, bring Nepal into confidence and secure Lankan ties. It is the MEA's guidance past so many years which has led to the border disputes.
Things were absolutely fine but the day you made S Jaishanker the Minister, things got worse. And there is a reason for this. You involve MEA into any negotiations, its bound to fail.
