LAC standoff: Chinese PLA troops retreat by 100 metres at Pangong Tso Lake, 2 km at Galwan Valley
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops, who have been engaged in a standoff with the Indian forces at several locations in eastern Ladakh, on Wednesday retreated by 100 metres in the Pangong Tso Lake area
The incident they are reporting has happened two days back and it was reported earlier. Question is what is happening in pangong Tso lake
To brew conflict between two of their biggest rivals hence making them weak and ensuring dominance of USA in times to come.
India is not their advisory, US is even ready to treat india on par with other NATO countries. But the non visionary indian governments are not recognising this till now.
For now. After China ,its India which is their biggest concern.

So long India remains a major regional power, there will not be much confrontation. But if we say start dictating terms in middle east on oil trade or started to compete with US defense firms for global weapons sale, you will see more remarks from USA.
This is an old argument.. though the US would still be pleased.. if both China and India weaken..
I think they will haggle more with the lake, and try some more bargain hunting before removing temporary camps, because India's position beyond Finger 4 is miserable due to poor logistics

Americans are give and take people. Today they need us to counter China hence they are ready to provide us assistance. But tomorrow when the Chinese threat would no longer be present they will come for us because then we would be their biggest threat. It is exactly what happened in past. They used China to counter USSR and now wants to use us to counter China. Please don't get swayed by emotions. Geopolitics is not guided by emotions.
