Lesson from Ladakh — India & China were both rising together until China just raced away
China is different now, might think India is ‘arrogant’ for pretending parity. Ladakh stand-off should be a wake-up call on what’s real, not illusory, power.

I was also wondering where this bullshit of China captured 900 Sqkm of territory in depsang in May 2020 came from . Roads from Chinese sides are visible in 2012 in that region. No wonder the Chinese thought they can do it again.
Indian perception of LAC is beyond what is shown here.. Y junction or Bottleneck is shown to be on Chinese side.. But, PP10 - PP13 which is beyond Y-Junction is well within indian perception of LAC
Yes, That is Google Map LAC. Don't think there is any Map of LAC from army perspective available. Last time Indian army was saying that Y junction is 18 KM inside India

I am not sure if they are reporting only PLA soldiers or the PLA soldiers+PLA militia. Many of the killed belonged to this militia also. This militia was the one who had killed Col. Santosh Babu and his troops in the first assault. Some of the militia members also died at that time. The PLA soldiers+militia were killed in the revenge assault by our troops. Many of the injured later died during the treatment as the Ghataks had assaulted them mercilessly with sticks and bayonets and many who were injured were already on the verge of death.
Even on 29/30th Aug, we had a massive hand to hand fight on black top to dislodge the platoon of PLA manning the observation post there. That EO/IR/radar post was used to track movement of our troops between finger 1 to finger 4 from Moldo side. we had injured over 15 PLA soldiers that night and held about 25-30 of them captive. They were released the next day. Our actions of 6/7th Sep on the ridgeline on North bank of PT would not have been possible if this observation post had not been dismantled prior to our action as this post would have observed our movement on the northen bank of PT.

Whats new ..? These heights were already occupied by IA on 29- 30 August.. Below is a quote from the article:
