Few things to note in this video. Most forward Chinese position is that video is geo-tagged here.

IT looks like the Chinese positions is South bank around blacktop is more forward that previously stated in this thread

The location where PLA soldiers standing in the video is marked in Red as "PLA Soldiers"

Previous posts and satellite images from @detresfa (twitter) suggests that Indian army position is in the south of intrsection marked as "IA forward" in blue., blocking PLA from coming down to Gurung hill from "PLA forward".

Looks like the PLA is moving freely through other ridgeline from "PLA forward" and further down close to point 5167.

So it seems India controls only one ridgeline along gurung hill. Rest all is secured by China. India does not have access to Lake even.

Not at all. Sat images have already confirmed Indian presence on the main ridgelines overlooking the lake.

We haven't crossed our perception of the LAC, so the PLA is operating on their side. It's just an imaginary line. So they are merely 200m away.

but at least the myth that India controls Blactop is busted here. Its completely with Chinks.

IA control the green ridgeline and PLA control the red ridgeline.

Failure to take the bump cost us continues ridgeline control. Our post is around 200 Meters south of Bump. Now PLA seem to be free to move from bump to PT 5167 as seen in the video posted before.

Blacktop is with Chinese, no question. So after all, Nitin Gokhale seems right this time. IF thats the case, helmet is also in Chinese hands. I haven't seen the recent satellite pictures of helmet. More likely, its also in Chinese control.

Overall Chinese formation is look much stronger here. From Indian side the only advantage probably is there is a good supplyline from Chusul.

Depends on what the objective is. If the objective of Moldo post, then this positions are fine. Without Moldo, none of the Chinese positions in South Bank can survive.

Approach to all other positions goes through moldo

Indias objective is always reactionary. Chinks want to get Chusul and ingress further. Indias objective is to stop that. Thats also visible from the formation.

There is no restrictions of movement behind the holding lines on both sides. These movements are observed by both sides....... it's a stalemate..... Both dont want an armed conflict and both dont want to back off either

It's impossible for move behind the holding lines of troops in a mountain ridge.

They have access to this region because they control that ridge.

I actually hope this stalemate continues through the winter, so that the Chinese actually experience that which they have underestimated. It will then play a significant part in how they proceed in the future.
