Involving MEA in negotiations was the biggest blunder. Had Modi allowed NSA to handle it. Seems there is conflict of interest between NSA Doval and Jaishanker.
This propaganda people understand ...In a hand-to-hand fight, both sides of the people would have injured and showing pics of injured soldiers who fight for their country would only satisfy their egos but fail to achieve anything .people will forget after some days. Chinese army as a professional army should have accepted their casualties on day 1 and should have given proper farewell to their martyrs which they failed ...

Otherwise CCP wouldn't have leaked those images. It's hilarious how easily two photos of a known skirmish easily demoralise everyone. Even on the other forum they are having a meltdown. It's well known a lot of our soldiers were injured in the skirmish how it is shocking everyone is really perplexing.
I shudder to think how we will go to war with such weaklings and opposition in nation. If a war starts and we lose first 2 or 3 battles then they all will be having sweat and shaky legs. Situation isn't too different of Paxtani and Chinese fanboys as well. Can you imagine being a paxtani in 1971 if twitter would have been there and 93k POWs with us? How would have they coped for 2 years with mentality of "tea is fantastic".
PLA still couldn't muster the courage to fire a pistol round for more than a year and people are having meltdown for bricks and sticks fight.
No one here has any meltdown, the pics they showed only angered the people here that India's reaction should have been more deadly. And Chinese have made sure of it by showing those photographs and provoking Indians.
They have ensured this! Our government is keen on dialogues, nothing else. Appeasement runs in our blood, the Chinese know this. The only way there will be a retaliation is if the Chinese fire the first shot, even then, the response will be proportional, to ensure that we don't offend the Chinese.
Jaishankar is most probably already a honey-pot-ted and compromised by that "Japanese" wife of his. For all we know she's a bugmen double agent.
They will remain that only. GoI is obsessed with its delusional idealism. Nobody takes that seriously.
Chances of war taking place is less, may be a skirmish at the max.
1) India is still dependent on chinese imports and our economy is still weak.
2) Given that elections are round the corner, BJP will do nothing. Last skirmish took place when campaigning for bengal elections were in full swing. (chinese have done their home work unlike Indians).
3) Strategically speaking for long term we should just hold off china and let west fight the chinese out. Jumping in now to take the focus from south china sea and put it back on India is stupidity. Chinese can certainly take advantage of it , induce a bigger skirmish and claim victory. Most raging keyboard warriors might think this is too cowardly but doing things silently is better than getting caught with your pants down.

Nothing is going to happen. At best a small skirmish. This is just standard bully tactics the CCP drones are using to keep us intimidated. What we need is three things
1.) IADS with s400 and BMD with pan India coverage.
2.) 114 rafales/f15 or whatever.
3.) And a 24-32 SSK fleet for regional maritime control.
Simple rest all focus should be on becoming an independent economy and achieve 5000$ gdp per capita. Let's forget PoK that bus has gone. Setup a strong border patrol and barb wire the LoC and LAC for good.
All sounds great.
But as long as Indian govt (as a whole) focuses on things it really shouldnt be involved with in first place....
...and derelicts and undermines what its actually there for at same time.
....as long as it does this in sufficient imbalance, there will be pain and consequence of all manner scaled to the size of 1.4 billion souls now.
The value and import of a bureaucracy is something that cannot be understated.
It is literally the reason why nations can exist, but not all become nation-states and for long enough....to defend precious lives and achieve crucial truth and reason.
India is very early still in nation-state formation (especially its vital bureaucracy and the balance of qualitative and quantitative there) and still largely thinks the clothes it has saddled itself with (made for some obese statist).....are well-fitted in some fashion.
When really there are serious teething mistakes going on and accumulating....and all the painful jerks and corrections downstream associated with it that really only can be understood when you look at 100 year chunks at the minimum (and the individual only really lives and "personally" remembers less than half of this....and it is really just the most immediate churn that occupies his/her mind most of time).
Patriots and well wishers (of whatever level, aptitude and station) unfortunately are stuck in a lifetime watching it....only some understand it by way of deep study of the nationstate itself in the homo sapiens species history (the what, where, why, when, how at the levels needed).
We are born in a bad period, but its not the worst since at least there is movement to something better compared to how its been a long time in the past 1000 years or so.

Is this indication of the fact that the recent events leading up to this meeting has been significantly downplayed by us? If my memory serves me right, this is the first time the meeting report sounds so hopeless as if both sides have somewhat run out of patience and just wants to play to the gallery!
