Quite possible. There was this tender in November but its for mk1. This notam is at night time start, 7:30pm which might indicate pyro flash that you can spot. Normally banshee drones are attached with such a pyro flash for testing. I wonder if its the same.
In the recent months there were tenders for everything tbh, rudram 2, ngarm, astra mk1 2 both, akash ng is also very close to trials apparently. So hard to fix on one. people also predicting prithvi 2, xrsam anything..

well nothing happened for the first notam of 2023, meanwhile ITR want maintenance for high speed video camera. They use these, so remember while complaining about footage drdo share

The last NOTAM was of 180km length and I guessed Astra 2. Today news has come about an Astra test with range of 70km!!
What did we test today?? My gut feel still says Astra 2 but could Astra IR or Astra with desi AESA seeker were tested instead?? What do ya think brother
Astra IR currently in backburner , there was obvious mk1 UT which I posted before, now its hard to know but likely for a different config/altitude tested today, most likely a low flying object. Astra 2 is not exactly separate project tbh, in all likeliness mk1 is mainly export oriented version while mk2 and SFDR are what our forces will use en masse in future.
Last summer there were serious rumours/news regarding Astra 2 live-test fire from Su-30MKI. Then IAF displayed video of Astra 2 drop test from Su-30 in October of last year. Almost 5 months from that video and even more if that happened during last summer. So a live test has already covertly happened or IAF just wants everyone to keep on guessing, lol.
Astra 2/3 definitely are the definitive versions. Astra 1 was just to get the base ready. I concur.
So, whatever they tested today, has been kept under wraps. The ongoing ITR spy/honeytrap case (now Andhra police/intel and IAF team have been involved in it today) may be a reason for strict information control.
Anyway, the few visual I saw from different individuals across twitter. Any guess? I saw someone claiming a line of white smoke was going up, many saying its sonic boom, definitely unusual loud noise that even ITR close by area people found different to usual testing experience. (one tv channel was interviewing people)

It mentioned about Baripada, which is 60 km away from ITR and towards northwest. Quite surprising that the sound was heard over there. Was heard over a long area, Balasore Dhamra Mayurbhanj everywhere. Many say it was a sonic boom of a jet, would make sense given people closer to ITR are used to explosion sounds but even they were surprised & fearful. There was a notam rescheduled
