@picdelalmirand-oil calculated Rafale against Su 30 mki saying 36 Rafale s can perform I think 200+ su 30 performance.
With availability, sorte rate, maintenance down time, pylons, weapons carrying ability. Effective ness of mission success.
The higher availability and turnaround gives it 2x capability. So about 80 MKIs, in theory.
But the difference will be quite small in the first 3-4 days. The MKI will be able to keep up with the Rafale, even if 25-30% lower at the time. But from the 5th day onwards the difference will grow larger and larger every day, to the point where comparison will become meaningless So the MKI will have to go down for maintenance after about 10-15 2-hour sorties. Rafale should be able to manage 100-150 sorties before going down. And it can also get back up faster than the MKI. So that's about 3x sortie rate over the course of a month.
Assuming an entire month, with all 36 Rafales being available, it is possible to do that, and with 80% availability for the MKI, to match the 36 Rafales, we will need 108 MKIs. Over 4 days, 36 Rafales will compare well with 56 MKIs.
Mind you, this is only sortie rate, not technology. The reality is the 36 Rafales should be able to generate a 5 or 10:1 kill ratio versus the MKI, so the actual difference will be even greater, making the two jets incomparable. Simply put, the 36 Rafales can wipe out our entire MKI fleet, in theory. Of course, the kill ratio will reduce once the MKI gets upgraded.
But this also means we can in theory wipe out the PAF with just 36 Rafales.
