What is the price of computers there and what about iPhone? I think new model of iPhone is 2 and a half lakh here.very very costly.chinese Huawei sets are not very costly here.
Computer prices range from as low as 25-30k to 2-2-5 lakh plus.
Chinese phones are cheap but relatively good quality, we have Made in India phones of Chinese companies. They are good for like 2 years

iPhone XS 64GB is INR 82,000 in India and PKR 1,98,000 in Pakistan. So that's 1.82L PKR, so the Indian iPhone is a little bit cheaper.

Frankly corruption in India is on par with Pakistan , probably more. We have a constitutional position called CAG which oversees audits and finances of govt of india/State/PSUs etc. This is an independent authority hence is much effective and powerful. CAG unearthed massive scams like 2G , Coalgate , CWGs etc etc.
We have a body called Lokpal in centre and Lokayukt in states ,it can examine corruption accused cases of almost everybody including PM.
Then we have Prevention of Money Laundering act , Benami properties act , FEMA , FRCA etc etc.
Then we have bodies like Central/State vigilance commission , Central/State information commissions , RTI act.
Yet we have rampant corruption from lover to upper levels.
Corruption exists everywhere in some form or other. China is more corrupt than India and Pakistan combined yet they progessed.
Fundamentals of Constitutional systems need to strong if u want to progess despite flaws like corruption. I.e Corruption toh hai lekin development aur progress bhi hai. Why? Bcz India is a stable democracy , elections are guaranteed every 5 years hence the government has to deliver or else it will lose power.
Basis of corruption is greed which an inherent human characteristic. No matter how educated or how rich ,he can be corrupt.

If u have ample checks and balances in your country , progress is guaranteed. No one institution should be powerful than other be it executive , Parliament , Judiciary , Armed forces.

Corruptio is more in Pakistan because you can strike a 'deal'- give money to state or some other move to get reduced sentences. In India there will be no 'compromise agreements' allowed. You can't give, say, a billion USD to the state in return for reduced sentences.

Aadhaar and Artificial Intelligence.

Aadhaar has given biometric identity to all individuals and connected it to our income tax department and banks. So now the govt knows everything that goes through a bank. And you can't fool the system because of biometrics, which includes finger printing and iris scan. So there is no space for black money.

Then the govt has restricted cash transactions. You can't make a purchase of more than INR 2L with cash, so you can only go through a bank for such large transactions. Bank means paper trail and the system will pick it up. From this month onwards, any cash withdrawals of 1Cr from any 1 person from any number of bank accounts he/she holds is now taxed at 2%.

And to hold everything together, all the data is sifted through AI. The AI has saved millions of manhours required to go through all that data. That's how a lot of fake and illegal companies were shut down.

For example, this is something new that's being implemented.
India: First country to use AI/ML in tax assessment

Because of Aadhaar, all the benefits to the poor are going to the right people. Earlier middlemen, politicians and bureaucrats used to siphon it off and nothing used to reach the poor.

And now that all powerful people are getting caught for corruption and black money, the effect is being felt everywhere. There is still corruption at the lowest levels which involves small amounts of money, but even these people will get caught eventually once AI starts scrutinising their transactions closely. Right now, the plan it to catch the big fish everywhere.

Other than that a lot of things have been automated. Since there is no people to people contact, the instances of corruption has reduced. For example, the govt has set up a portal like Amazon for all govt offices. So anything they want to buy, they buy through the portal.

So corruption has obviously not disappeared because the hammer has not yet fallen on the corrupt in a big way yet. And there is still corruption in a lot of govt offices, especially infrastructure, mining etc. But AI is now becoming so advanced that these people getting caught is inevitable.

When Modi came to power, majority of businesses used to say that corruption was the biggest hurdle to do business. After 5 years, they say corruption is not even in the top 3 problems for most businesses.

Plus, because of India's growing diplomatic clout, these people cannot escape anywhere in the world. So they can't just siphon money off outside the country and expect to retire, they will all get hunted down like Vijay Mallya.

Going fully digital was the biggest factor to reduce corruption.
