Because of Aadhaar, all the benefits to the poor are going to the right people. Earlier middlemen, politicians and bureaucrats used to siphon it off and nothing used to reach the poor.

And now that all powerful people are getting caught for corruption and black money, the effect is being felt everywhere. There is still corruption at the lowest levels which involves small amounts of money, but even these people will get caught eventually once AI starts scrutinising their transactions closely. Right now, the plan it to catch the big fish everywhere.

Other than that a lot of things have been automated. Since there is no people to people contact, the instances of corruption has reduced. For example, the govt has set up a portal like Amazon for all govt offices. So anything they want to buy, they buy through the portal.

So corruption has obviously not disappeared because the hammer has not yet fallen on the corrupt in a big way yet. And there is still corruption in a lot of govt offices, especially infrastructure, mining etc. But AI is now becoming so advanced that these people getting caught is inevitable.

When Modi came to power, majority of businesses used to say that corruption was the biggest hurdle to do business. After 5 years, they say corruption is not even in the top 3 problems for most businesses.

Plus, because of India's growing diplomatic clout, these people cannot escape anywhere in the world. So they can't just siphon money off outside the country and expect to retire, they will all get hunted down like Vijay Mallya.

Going fully digital was the biggest factor to reduce corruption.

Yes digital is the way forward.very good steps taken by India to reduce corruption.vijay malya was also corrupt.do you think that your government will bring him back to India so that he can serve his punishment? Is he actually corrupt or just allegation?

Yes I heard about xiomi.cheap prices in India.what about the life of common man in India? I know there is a difference between village and city.mumbai is a top city.can a common man survive in Mumbai? I mean can he bear expenses?

He is corrupt. If he lands he will be arrested. If he stays away he will lose most of his fortune.

Vijay Mallya is not just corrupt, he is a thief. He took loans from banks and then ran away with the money.

Poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich live and survive in Mumbai. But Mumbai suffers from over migration and population and lack of proper infrastructure. Long way to go for Mumbai and other Metros of India to become anything like Shanghai or other East Asians cities let alone the western world cities

Mumbai is now pretty much like Toronto or New York(ok being a bit generous here).

I have seen people who have just come from Mumbai to Toronto and they feel - this is almost like Mumbai only the food is not so good.

You can live in any of those cities on low medium or high income. Your quality of life is impacted by your income but there are things you can take for granted - 24 hour power, safety, access to best services etc. etc. Being in these cities itself offers chances and options not heard of 10-20 years ago.

See the movie - Gully Boy - its about the son of a driver who now has the option to watch movies on his phone, he knows the US rap scene and thanks to proliferation of tech is able to become a rapper himself. 10-20 years ago this would have sounded like space fiction.

Very true.yes food not good only for English people.for indian or any Bangladeshi or pakistani,I think the standard of food would be great.also there are many historical cities like old Delhi and hyderabad.india is very big.even winter seasons look different in different provinces.
