Off-Topic Chit-Chat

Sir AFAIK most of the idols are made by mud.

You should visit Maharashtra region post Ganesh visarjan. Its environmental annihilation of highest order. No need to defend your traditions, we all know what it should be - we need to go out and spread the right message.

The problem is Mitra Mandals and locality 'parties'. Each of them collect money for Ganesh Chathurthi and each of them do Visarjan. If this was limited to one Ganeshji per city or district then problem would not have been so acute. Actually nowhere it says in Shastras that there should be these many Ganesh Pratimas.
One is enough for a city.

Well we have fireworks here in Canada. But it is a community show. Done at a central location. Everyone enjoys it and its brief. If Everyone did it, it would be a nightmare, what we call Diwali in India. Its not that hard, just get one statue and 'Visarjit' it. No need for any and every bunch of jobless boys to organize the same stuff in every single turn and corner. Same goes to Diwali. No need for every single house to burst crackers. Can be done by professionals in one single place or few places. Lighting and worship can be private but no need for polluting activities to be private. Same goes to Bakar Id. No need for killing so many animals for Kurbani. Do it in mosque, one or two animals and donate the meat.

I am also of the same view, no need to proliferate small temples, mosques and churches in every street.

Do it 1 per certain square KM, do it grand and make it superb architecture .. Make it a place of happiness ..

And no loud speakers.. No blocking the road..

Make the religion just sufficient for the requirements of people.

Looks like you're going to have the time of your life, Paddy , right thru the 2020's.

Here. I've come up with a suitable anthem.

No need to thank me. After all what're old pals for?

I oppose fireworks for a different reason. Noise.
I have always had dogs, growing up I had 1- 2 pooches ar home, and they were terrified of the crackers. Most of the diwalis I was on dog duty at my home.

These days at my residence in India, we have one at home and a bunch of strays that we neuter/feed/take care off. My house in India is outside the city and has wide spaces and we have (tried) painstakingly educated our neighbors on being "tolerant" to these poor strays.

These pooches get really get terrorized by the noise of crackers, the ones that we can round up inside the house are ok, but the stragglers run away, some don't return, some get caught in the highway traffic, get hurt, worse some die.

Here in the US to there are two days of crackers around the 4th July, fortunately my neighborhood is doesn't have much of cracker activities as most have dogs, and most are those rocket type fireworks at a distance, my pup isn't that sensitive to the crackers, and will be cool throughout, but my neighbors Aussie whines and runs scared at the slightest sound of fireworks.

Trust me, way more folks have dogs in US and Canada. That said, fireworks here are not 'sound' variety but 'light' one. Also it is limited to a designated area with limited time.

Issue in India is that every one bursts cracker and everyone street has a massive Ganesh Moorti to be 'Visarjit'.

I agree. Once a year is enough for fireworks. You should not be allowed to wake up a town just because it's your birthday.

Aah Kerala one true Gods only country. Why compare Kerala with some inferior shit called Spain? How dare you?
My apologies. Kerala truly deserves to be an independent country. It's far too advanced as compared to the rest of India. That half of their population is expatiate is incidental. It's out of the goodness of their heart they moved out of Kerala in mainstream India to spread knowledge & awareness. Ditto for their emigration into the Gelf. The Arabs like the rest of India actually are obligated to the Malayalis for whatever progress they've achieved. Of course, the Bengalis would take objection. But that's another story.

I want to tell you a few things about leadership here. There are people who are born leaders and there are people who are made leaders. In my presentation about leadership, I had compared Hitler and Gandhi. Hitler was a born leader while Gandhi was a made leader. None of you know the agreement which he signed with British before coming to India in 1915. He did not come to India but was brought to India thru an ecosystem created by the INC and projected and promoted as a leader to help Britain loot India and ensure security within India and recruit Indians for the war and use the resources of India for the war. The copy of that agreement is still available in British archieve. Thru and thru he was a British agent just the way Lenin was. Natural leader which India had were Lal-Bal-Pal-Bhagat Singh-Azad-Bose. Rest all were tailor made leaders by british including Patel and I call them traitors.
