Pakistan AirForce : Updates & Discussions

I loved it where you say
To counter 1 LCA , the page will need 2 to 3 jets.
Such comedy makes my day 😂😂😂
Maybe that’s why PAF and China refuse to reveal how much JF-17 and J-10’s airframe life is? What is the TTSL and TBO of J-10’s engine.

Or for that matter, how many modes available in AESA radar of JF-17 and J-10? How many types of interleaved modes. Or even which radar exist in JF-17 or J-10, what I have seen is all guesses. How come Chinese failed to develop far easier radar’s algorithms for AEW&C, but able to develop far more complex algorithms for Multi mode radar that used in aircraft?

Or why PAF had to adopt ASELAN pod instead of Chinese?

Do the PAF planning for high tempo exercises, when was the last time they had done such things? If not, then why not? Or they just cut copy pasting PLAAF experiences of flying in Taiwan EEZ?

These all question as Indians we ask from our AF, but obviously that is not the culture in Pak ( jitni hum Indians pant utarte hai na veterans ki, karke batao to maane, ask such questions from Shahid Latif) , and want to extrapolate capability of Air Force from 15-20 min engagement.

If PAF’s fanboys unable to answer these simple questions, then they making fun of themselves not of other.

How many flying hours PAF’s pilots are cloaking each month? How come some think tankers and vets in PDF came to know that PAF pilots are better than of IAF. Ever you questioned it? All they do is laugh on IAF’s crashes. Obviously if you don’t fly, you won’t crash.

Atleast the selection criteria to enter as PAF fighter pilot is more stringent & tortuous than IAF.
Pak is decades behind india on every other sector, but they don't give any damn when comes to defense.

In Pakistan, the military is the only remaining meritocratic institution with a significant wealth dividend and respect. For a Pakistani, it is the best possible job they can aspire to. In India, it is not even in the top ten. All successful countries face this issue. The US even has huge PR campaigns. We are atleast no there yet.

How it is more stringent? And how come more stringent entry negate the low flying hours? Muscle memory and instinct doesn’t matter?

Just like
1 Mard E Momin = 10 Yindoos, their
1 PAF Pilot = 10 IAF Pilots which can Fly 1 JF17 & 9 Loyal wingman JF17, Combat radius of 1 JF17 = 10 times of 1 LCA mk1a And 1 JF17 can Lift 40000kgs which is 10 times that of 1 LCA mk1a ...

And best part while IAF Pilots fly more than 250hrs per year to keep them polished for war PAF Pilots achieve that experience in Less than 25 hours....😊😜

Did I read somewhere that India was going to modernise the Armenian SU-30s?
Any news?

Don't think so. They bought the Su-30SM after all, so any upgrade is 20 years away. But they may be looking at some Indian avionics and weapons for the jets.

The LCA is an obvious choice alongside the Akash contract that was recently signed. They bought 15 batteries of Akash and are aiming to get some MRSAMs too.

According to lady,This is still in very initial stage. And 95% indigenous

It is prototype for design testing. They started this company in 2018.

Some years ago,i visited their website and some YT videos covering them, they were doing almost design and some subsystems manufacturing work.
Today i found this video and they have completed their design work and have a small prototype for testing.Guys are sincere to their work

This uncle and his Bitia Ji know that there is no future of these things in Pakistan.I wonder what keeps them motivated.

Good article

@randomradio @Gautam @Rajput Lion @Saaho @marich01 @Ankit Kumar

They are essentially building a whole new air force in a short time. But without an economy to support it.

Anyway, the more J-10s and JF-17s they buy, the more of an advantage it is for us. It appears they are unable to compete anymore. Both airframes are already outdated. The avionics and weapons will keep them in the game for some time, but the airframe will start showing its age in the 2030s.

Nuclear weapons will not deter this activity; thus, Pakistan had to start investing in its conventional capabilities from land, sea, and air. Basically, it began taking conventional deterrence seriously, even amid economic uncertainty and fiscal vulnerability.

Exactly what we want... let them bankruppt themselves while we build a credible defence against China.

As the article pointed out, their entire future weapons/platforms whether fighters, trainers, SAMs, BVRs would be of Chinese origin. But unfortunately for them, we're now competing with China in this new arms race at quite a high level. So, even though they're doing the best they can, they're still outgunned against IAF and combined Indian military might. Propaganda like Swift Retreat can only take them thus far, IMO.
