S-400 'Triumf' News & Discussion

Yes, true! But IAF is no slouch to real-life scenario(s) and they would have tested S-400 with the best they have got. So this is very impressive news IMO.
I said real life scenario is different. Means its a statement not an assumption.

As per some online rumours, IAF is looking towards procuring QRSAM to protect S-400 systems from saturation attack. I think VL-SRSAM also would be a good system to be considered for this particular purpose.

@randomradio, have you seen this leak? What do you think about the numbers?

There's no official word out regarding it.

The numbers look decent though. 24 MR SAMs seem just about right for an IAF battery. Akash Mk2, SPYDER-SR and MRSAM have 24 missiles per battery in 4, 6 and 3 launchers respectively.

The LR SAM composition is new for the IAF, but 6 per battery per type could be what they are going for.
