Without verifying the validity of this, go look where the Barents Sea is in relation to the UK. I guess if true thatonly leaves us the North Sea, the Irish Sea, the Celtic Sea... oh and the entire f*cking Atlantic Ocean.
It's a problem for importing high-tech goods, because for these goods it's the official rate that counts, but for everyday life in India, $10,000 doesn't make you poor, because there it's the PPP that counts.@Herciv @Amarante @Picdelamirand-oil @Bon Plan @A Person
The number of "affluent" Indians - people with annual income of $10,000 (about ₹8.3 lakh) or more - has grown 12 times faster than the population in the past four years and is set to become 100 million by 2027, according to a Goldman Sachs report released on Friday.![]()
India's consumption growth is set to accelerate as Goldman predicts 'affluent' Indians to nearly double
Around 100 million people in India will earn an income of more than $10,000 a year by 2027, according to Goldman Sachs.www.cnbc.com
About 4% of the working age population qualifies to be called "affluent", the report said.
So, with 60 million today considered affluent at $10,000, to grow to 100 million by 2027, it still means even the poorest in France are as rich as the average "affluent" Indian. This is what I meant by the West overestimating India's wealth and the global responsibility expected out of it.
The reason why India is being overestimated is because it's like coming face-to-face with a 20-year-old Elon Musk while knowing what his future will be like. But he would still be a nobody at 20 years old.
It's this 60 million that's keeping India afloat. We need that number to change to 300-400 million, pretty much 10-15 years away.
It's a problem for importing high-tech goods, because for these goods it's the official rate that counts, but for everyday life in India, $10,000 doesn't make you poor, because there it's the PPP that counts.
If there was no necessity then why even have an agreement with russia for fishing in barents sea in the first place ?Without verifying the validity of this, go look where the Barents Sea is in relation to the UK. I guess if true thatonly leaves us the North Sea, the Irish Sea, the Celtic Sea... oh and the entire f*cking Atlantic Ocean.Meanwhile Russia can't even access the Baltic Sea and is rapidly losing ships in the Black Sea. And for the record, the Barents Sea is probably covered in ice this time of year anyway.
