They are "outdated" bcause they are not meant for close range saturation rocket attacks that hamas and hezbolla can bring but they can absolutely handle ballistic and cruise missile attacks from Russia. I think the US will buy them back to transfer them to Ukraine in fact I wouldn't be surprised if this was a US idea. Ukraine says it needs 7 Patriot batteries to complement their SAMP-T's to completely cover Ukraine airspace so 6 Israeli batteries would be more than enough with the 3 they already have. It would also complement the incoming F-16's with datalink giving F-16's a much further reach in BVR or in the shooting down of drones and cruise missiles.

They are outdated 'cause they are old units. The Israelis use PAC-2 GEM+ missiles and the replacement is more advanced than any Patriot missile system.

Ukraine wants 50+ batteries, or "at least" 25.

Russians are not "taking it slow", they're going as fast as they possibly can. They are slow because Ukrainians oppose fierce resistance. Russia cannot possibly go faster.

It's more appropriate to say they are tactically moving as fast as possible using the slowest possible strategy.

This is what happens when you don't have air superiority over static frontline. Ukraine has an excuse they don't have an air force.

Air superiority is not an answer to the FPV drone problem. The law of averages doesn't work here.

You need EW and air defenses. Or at the very least physical defenses stronger than the kinetic force of the best FPV drone around.

Very likely to be true. Too many idiots in the country.

Many don't do any sort of research beforehand before accepting immigration work. Since India is poor, moving to any country sounds like a good idea to them. For example, people get suckered into working in Cambodia. But they get themselves locked up in prisons and do call center work scamming people for pretty much the entire day.

Artillery is used to shape the battlefield so offensive maneuvers can be undertaken. FPVs are still second fiddle to that.

As for what's causing most casualties, that's far too subjective. For example, artillery and mines can bog down units, and FPVs can get to work after, so there will be teamwork involved.
Unguided missing artillery shapes the battlefield largely by putting craters in it. Not massively useful.

Forgot why I actually dropped in.

Russia's started their offensive in Kharkiv.

It's small right now, likely in preparation for a larger offensive. It's unclear if they plan to open up other fronts, like Sumy or Chernihiv.
It's so far been less successful than the Ukrainian raids in Belgorod last year and far more costly on lives.

Even if we assume this actually means 440 dead and 880 stumps being transported home, it's still massive:
