Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Two, Possibly Three Russian Jets Hit After Drone Strike at Kushchyovskaya Air Base

Black Sea WITHOUT enemy missile carriers! The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the defeat of the Russian ship Zyklon in Crimea

Footage of an attempted attack by Ukrainian FPV kamikaze drones on a Russian serviceman. There were reportedly 7 drone attacks in total, but not all attacks are shown in the video. It is worth noting that the soldier walks calmly and makes almost no attempt to dodge the drones. But the drones cannot hit the soldier. It is possible that the serviceman is using a portable electronic warfare system. The location of the shooting has not been announced, the video has been shortened.

PARIS — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenkyy’s call for NATO nations to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine from their own airspace is likely to find some support in at least a few friendly European capitals, including from a key Finnish lawmaker who told Breaking Defense he liked the idea.

Czech MoD bought 80,000 x 120mm heavy mortar shells and 50,000 x 125mm tank shells from India's MIL.

Most of Czechia's Soviet-origin tank platforms (which use 125mm shells) have already been transferred to Ukraine, so if these rounds are indeed going to Ukraine I've no idea how they plan on circumventing these End-User rules.

Even if they don't, the Czechs plan on upgrading & keeping a few dozen of their T-72M4CZs for quite a while so I guess that's for what these shells are for.

However, the fresh sales would still free up the Czechs to transfer whatever 125mm ammo they already have to Ukraine.

Footage of a Russian 7.62mm PKM machine gun hitting a Ukrainian drone called “Baba Yaga”. Drones of the Baba Yaga type are heavy agricultural UAVs of various models, converted for military needs and usually armed with 82 mm mines. As can be seen from the video, defeating a drone even with a machine gun takes longer than if shotguns were used, which have been talked about a lot lately. It is worth noting that the Russian army has begun to receive shotguns. The photo was taken over Chasov Yar.

SAM-SLAM summer series continues. I think the S-400 is just designed to look scary and nothing more, sort of a scarecrow for aircraft.

The strike was carried out using 5 ATACMS ballistic missiles.

Losses:
• 2 S-300/400 air defense missile launchers were destroyed;
• 1 S-300/400 air defense missile launcher was damaged;
• Radar “96L6E” was destroyed;
• The control center of the S-300/400 air defense system was destroyed;
