Ukraine - Russia Conflict

During the day on April 26, the Armed Forces are making a decent rebuff to the enemy along the entire front line. It is reported about massive strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation by our defenders. According to intelligence, our air force made a series of air sorties and inflicted heavy blows on ammunition depots and equipment.

Russia donates Kornet ATGMs to Ukraine

A series of incidents in the breakaway Moldovan republic of Transnistria and a warning from Moscow that the Russian-backed region could be drawn into the war in Ukraine have put the country's government on high alert as president Maia Sandu said she was following 'with caution and vigilance' at a security council meeting on Tuesday.

Transnistria, the Donbass, South Ossetia - funny how Russian-backed separatists seems to take little segments of other sovereign nations literally everywhere. Presumably there are 'Nazis' in all these regions.

The Russkies are a highly discriminated against ethnic lot , Paddy , much like the Irish & equally despised . The only difference is unlike the RoI which has more cows ( including the 2 legged variety ) than men , Russkies have a homeland which backs them up plus it's a N power & a P-5 member .

Unlike the Paddys who take it on the chin & cheeks on the anterior & posterior & everything in between & move on , the Russkies stand their ground & retaliate much more harder .

There , I've summed it up for you . Now run along & print it in the Irish Intelligence Review . I've done my good deed for the day .

It's a good system Paddy . I'm sure it'd wreak heavy damage on the Russkies but I suspect they'd be on to it & those tanks + APCs the eastern bloc of NATO nations supplied before they begin to take a toll . Irrespective of what you believe the Russkies still have superior air power , you see Paddy , including drones .

Russian troops launched a missile attack on the railway bridge in Zatoka, Odessa region. As a result of the missile strike, the bridge from Zatoka towards Belgorod-Dnestrovsky was closed. The bridge was used to supply fuel from Moldova to the Ukrainian army. Also, warships of the Russian Navy launched a series of strikes on targets on the coast of the Odessa region.

The units of the Russian Armed Forces took control of a large base for the storage and repair of equipment left by the Ukrainian army. A large amount of Ukrainian military equipment was captured, about 100 units in total. Among the trophies of the air defense "Tunguska", air defense "Shilka", radar stations, means for servicing military equipment. In the hangar there were workshops for the repair and restoration of damaged Ukrainian equipment.

The same reason I gave for why the Russians did not plan on taking Kiev through bloodshed.
The Russians planned on taking Kyiv by any mean necessary, including complete destruction, like they did in Mariupol. The only reason they didn't take Kyiv was because they never got to concentrate enough force for it because they were hampered by bad logistics and stopped by fierce combat. If they could have brought in all the troops and heavy weapons in time without losing most of them, they absolutely would have destroyed Kyiv.

To escape sanctions, all a country has to do is become food and energy independent. Everything else can be solved in time. Especially so in an industrialised economy with relatively rich people.
No. I'd say on the other hand "especially so in a pre-industrial economy with illiterate hunter-gatherers". Because the relatively rich people of your industrialised economy will recognize that the situation is shit and that the best way to improve their situation is to emigrate to a better country.

Which is precisely what the Russians are now doing. Hundred of thousands of Russia's best people -- particularly those with high education and careers in technological fields -- have left the country since the start of the "special military operation". What Russia will keep will be those who are too old to move, and those who are too dumb to move. Which is a sure recipe for a glorious tomorrow, no doubt!

This is a potential body blow to Ukrainian efforts in the South , Paddy & sweetie . It'd have a huge effect on the defence of Odessa . I hope Irish Joe & BJ will take due note .

Flights to & from Russia were ceased by the west within a week of war being launched. Secondly which authoritarian country will ever allow for mass exit of it's citizens especially the creme de la creme . Thirdly what's the evidence in support of your statement to this effect.

Russia faces brain drain as thousands flee abroad

And

Armenian gov't gave a number of 80K there; Tbilisi mayor said 20-25K there. There were more flights to Istanbul than to Erevan each day, and on larger planes. Plus Tel Aviv, Almaty, Bishkek + tiny, but constant stream via Estonia, Latvia, and Finland. So, 200K is a lower bound.

Destroying Kiev, they would have at least tried, even if they failed.

Quite a bit black and white, don't you think?

"Everybody's leaving Russia"? Is that the prevalent thought in the West right now?

Whenever problems happen in autocratic countries, some critics and some opportunists will leave. The numbers have to climb to many millions if we are to see the kind of impact you are expecting.

Lol. Putin really thinks his empty threats scare US and Briton?

  • Explosions were also heard in neighbouring Kursk and Voronezh regions as Russia said it shot down drones
  • Ukraine has not commented on strikes, but it follows a pattern of attacks on military targets near the border
