There are wars you have no choice but to fight, like when someone wants to take your country. You can't not fight that war, it's impossible.
So you would have taken an entire country. You are a lot like Russia. Also not very realistic, or analytical.
You can't negotiate when it involves giving away large parts of your country or where would it end? Russia's only goal is to keep expanding, all its claims are false. Russophobia - they caused it. Security - NATO is already on their border, but it has not attacked or placed nuclear missiles there. The idea that NATO would attack Russian territory is also clinical insanity. Ukraine wasn't going to get into NATO anytime soon.
Clearly they're not that weak, and tens of thousands of Russians have got what they deserved, not just for invading Ukraine, but for promoting instability elsewhere in the world through their proxies.
Reality: Ukr started conspiring with the West and disenfranchising Russians in Ukr. Russia told them to stop it, they didn't. Then Russia told them to give autonomy to the two provinces Ukr were bombing, which they also didn't. Then came the Minsk agreements, which the Ukr didn't follow. Then Russia told them keep their land, but change their policy to a more Russian friendly one, they didn't. Then the Rusians invaded and gave them a chance to surrender, keep their land and change leadership, they didn't. So now, here we are.
During all this time, the Ukrs were actually meaninglessly attempting to join NATO without realising they have been played.
Now they are waist-deep in sh!t and Putin's decided to bury them in even more sh!t.

yeah all this drama but will not cut gas or coal. Will do what suits us.
Ukraine had been shelling & murdering civilians , supporting nazi militias to terrorize civilians , every possible crap was happening in donbas region. Emboldened and encouraged by US , ukraine assembled 60-80k troops for mass assault which now seems to have terribly backfired.
Zelensky is more interested in hurling insults at russia rather than saving his own country men. He ends up marketing each & every death for brownie points and media limelight. Worst part is that he eliminates any one who calls for negotiations. For all purpose he is an american in ukranian disguise.
I have no idea when people in the West will ever figure out they need to think for themselves. Stupid wars will forever remain stupid wars.
People in Germany are worrying about Russia cutting off gas supplies for a month... What if they cut off supply permanently? What's Russia got to lose compared to Germany? And what's Germany willing to give to get it back... Stupid people will forever remain stupid people.
US will supply albeit at higher cost, biden will be forced to shelve the bogus environ excuse and allow more drilling.

They don't have the regassification plants needed for LNG deliveries. As per the Germans, it will take until 2024 to fully replace Russian gas. As of this year, the total supplies to Europe can be brought down by 70% even with American and Qatari supplies.
Germany's gas dependence on Russia was 55% before war, and 35% by the end of May. And to compensate for lower supplies, they cut industrial use first. And it's not just the supply, but the cost of alternate supply is also rising and overall gas prices have also increased a lot.
This winter will tell us what the real damage is. And we will then know if Russia plans to supply the remaining 30% to Europe as well.
Reality: in 2013 Putin conspired to disenfranchise Ukrainians who voted to join the EU in 2010. The opposition party went so far as to call the move treason. Putin then immediately invaded Crimea creating anti-Russian sentiment, then he also infiltrated the Donbass and started hostilities there, causing yet more anti-Russian sentiment. The DPR then broke both the Minsk agreements, which were really only land grabs by Russia anyway.

Probably to try avoid being invaded by Russia. This tends to happen to any European countries that are not in the EU or NATO.
Russia invaded Ukraine, but it did not go at all to plan and the international community let them know they were in the wrong by kicking them off the UN human rights council and condemning their action by majority. Now they are frustrated and are conducting state-level acts of terrorism with cruise missiles to try and bend people to their will, like any two-bit Islamic fundamentalist.

Any one who doesnt agree with you is either enemy or fallen to propaganda. who ever buys from russia is supporting them but that does not apply to eu countries themselves.

Anyone saying Ukraine should cede part of its territory for peace should offer Ukraine an equal-sized part of their own land in exchange, or STFU.
