NATO is a mob under which each countries commit all the atrocities and get away with it. UK can bomb iraq, turkey can bomb syria bcos they are under NATO security umbrella. If a communist bloc is a threat what makes you think NATO is a different from that.

NATO should have gone away with SU , why does the mob still exist?

It exist because of what happens to nations that are not in the club like Goergia and Ukraine you lugnut . :rolleyes:

stop thinking with your a** , one of the reasons for war is ukraines impending membership to NATO.
Obviously if what you say is right then why dint NATO mob immediately approve membership and fight russia. Instead the mob chose to play proxy games and ruin ukraine. NATO mob is nothing more than a bunch of self serving bullies.

Everyone agrees that what russia is doing is Wrong(legally). But russia is not invading ukraine for exploiting resources but to keep nato away. So, charges against russia for colonialism is wrong.

Poland , East germany, romania, Etc entered into NATO on their own, Nobody put a gun on their head( forced them).

There are other ways to do that besides putting a gun & USA does that successfully for a long time. Historically if you look, the work method is you first create a rift between two unequal power, then rope in the lesser power with charm offensive & weapon/security promise.
The gun is reserved for when this tactics do not work. that is why CIA is created to do the dirty work.
india-Pak, India-China, Taiwan-China, Ukraine-Russia every conflict you look you will see they have selectively given weapon to the lesser threat to keep check of greater threat.

You don't need to put guns on nation's head. There are means to do it like economic arm twisting and beneficial economic treaties and punishment through sanctions....

Russia began its annexations in the early '90s before any NATO expansion - Transnistria, South Ossetia, Abkhazia. This has nothing to do with NATO and is more about re-establishing the USSR. They have even started making adverts to promote such. For Russia it is about controlling resources in order to control others, which absolutely is colonialism. NATO has no choice but to resist this action otherwise it is liable to continue, the pattern has been established. Fortunately this time round the Russian's were brazen enough to incite action from the EU, which has bent over backwards to accommodate Putin.

Use your common sense. Amphibious assaults are dangerous under any circumstances, even Russia has steered clear of such around Odessa. Would Ukraine attempt to cross a wide river overlooked by the enemy to take a small area of land surrounded by the enemy? That goes well beyond suicide.

The work was all done by Russia in the case of East Germany, Poland and Romania etc. They installed oppressive Russian puppet regimes for 45 years and anyone who went off script was invaded (i.e. Czechoslovakia and Hungary). The East German government and their secret police (Stasi) were particularly prolific. They had to build a wall across the entire border with West Germany, with watch towers, barbed wire and mines to keep people in. In the early days there was an apartment block near the wall and people used to throw mattresses over the wall from the 3rd floor and jump out onto them in order to escape. But then it was knocked down.

Your history needs brushing up on hugely. It had nothing to do with the weaker power, historically Pakistan was NATO-aligned, India wasn't. India was also socialist (a mistake they now regret). China was Communist and a dictatorship, hence India was backed. Taiwan was the original government of China and a US/NATO ally. The US helped them quite a bit in WWII too. Ukraine is a democracy defending their own damn country, this is as clear cut as right and wrong ever get in world politics.
