Police in Novoshakhtinsk, Russia looking for a man with machine gun who wounded one policeman.

This is necessary. Russian police enforce mobilisation because they are scared of being mobilised and dying themselves, this way that incentive is removed.

I definitely wouldn't say "began", the USA have always been openly protectionist.
And the IRA is not Biden's first act of protectionism either:

I'm referring to the period after globalisation of course. Trump got out of all negotiations for economic blocs, taxed EU imports and sanctioned China. He also attacked all countries the US had a trade deficit with. Trump is when the reversal of globalisation began.
Protectionism of the planet.

More like pocket.

Russian Police detained suspect, who opened fire at police yesterday in Novoshakhtinsk. According to Baza it is former convict, and deserted fighter of Wagner PMC Pavel Nikolin

Are these sur armored T72 able to face the AT missiles in the ukrainian hands? If not it's worst because the agility of the tank is lowered.

T-72 engines have been upgraded to 1000HP with higher torque. The tanks seem to be using Relikt ERA as well, so it should be good.

All thanks to a Pole by the name of Zbigniew Brzezinski ( He was to the Democratic establishment what Kissinger was to the Republicans though both enjoyed universal respect.) who brought his Polish ethno nationalism with him into US foreign policy making , essentially subscribing to the same insecurities that minor nations do when faced with a giant hostile neighbor thereby dragging the US into it .

Of course power politics & old cold War memories driving hatred of the SU & it's successor state Russia, among surviving Cold War Warriors like Biden, McCain, etc also had a huge role to play here.

The co option of Pope John Paul -II an ethnic Pole & the first time IIRC a non Italian was elected Pope was part of the same strategy to undermine communist Poland & thereby the Warsaw Pact & the SU. In fact the election of John Paul - II itself was orchestrated by the US & it's European allies . All this was master minded by Brzezinski.

Going back in time, add to the above memories of the Hitler Stalin understanding of partitioning Poland ( most of what's Prussia - the state which led German unification lay in Poland at the outset of WW-2 which was awarded to Poland as reparations for WW-1 following German defeat IIRC ) , the biggest percentage of casualties in WW-2 in terms of the population & the subsequent Communist rule & suppression of Catholicism ( remember Poland is the only Slavic land apart from Croatia which is Roman Catholic with the rest either following Russian or Greek Orthodox Churches or in some rare cases their own denominations of the Orthodox church) attracting the suspicion of the always paranoid Communists.

However, the roots of this problem is much older. The Polish Lithuanian Confederacy which ended in the very late 18th century coinciding with the rise of Russian Empire which had it's own axe to grind with the former, as a lot of what's now western Russia including Ukraine was part of this Confederacy which in it's heyday was the second largest empire after the moth eaten Holy Roman Empire if memory serves me right on continental Europe .

This is why one would still see a marked difference in the culture of Western Ukraine as compared to the eastern parts of it manifesting itself in various ways including political choices & identity, which continues to this day or in any case up until 24th Feb 2022.

The saga is a never ending one with the usual suspects in Poland & the Baltic states continuing to drive the NATO policy which as of now is the unofficial or official policy , depending on how you see it, of the boss of NATO - the US backed up by who else but their minions in Europe UK against the Franco German line of seeking accommodation with Russia or at the very least this was the position before the war & we still see glimpses of it in the latter party's interactions & press statements as opposed to the US + UK + Polish + Baltic state line & their relationship with Russia.

Me thinks once the US draws down it's presence in EUROPE whenever that is, all these old tribal rivalries will come to the fore & turn into enemities like in the good old days. One thing, however, is certain, Germany is definitely going to re arm. Funnily, Japan has gotten around to doing so only a few yrs ago. Coincidence or the omens portending to something ominous? What's also certain is this time nobody can blame either Japan or Germany for imperial ambitions. They were literally forced into it.

Either way Eurasia is in for a lot of fun in the next few decades.
