Taiwan F-16's takeoff and land on roads so it won't be an issue in Ukraine. However if they get F-16's it won't be until late 2023 by that time the multiple Patriot batteries will be in Ukraine. So will the many NASAM batteries and other SAM systems which will be able to protect a proper airbase with layered SAM defense. Right now Ukraine only has 2 batteries of NASAM of the 9 it was promised same goes for IRIS-T. Unfortunately it's a process that takes time.I am bit worried about the F-16, though. One big reason why Ukrainian air force had survived was their ability to operate from road bases, as I explained here:
Can F-16 do that?
And pray, do explain how the Ukrainians will overnight become experts in tactics on this chinese bhel of equipment, leave alone build competence in maintenance and build up spare parts reserves?Time to unleash zee Leopards, ja!
Zee Krauts dicked around too long and for that they got outplayed by US.
This is going to give Ukraine a capability they haven't had through out the war when it comes to their mechanize brigades... Night fighting capability.
Superior night vison optics, stabilized guns on Leopards, Bradleys and Swede und German IFV's will overwhelm Russsian forces.
Next month will likely about sending F-16's Euros fly and replacing them with F-35's.![]()
