While Moscow Could Not Afford It, China Will Build Railway North to Sakha [Yakutia]
(...) the proposed line would extend China’s infrastructure reaches far deeper into Russian territory than ever before. Up to now, China has focused on areas just north of the border or along existing Russian routes, such as the Trans-Siberian line. Beijing has built bridges and opened factories just north of the border but generally avoided going deeper into Russia’s interior. Second, China and Sakha appear to have reached this agreement on their own having met several times over recent months to discuss how it could be achieved. This came after Moscow declared last summer that it did not consider the route a priority (Vesma.today, June 22, 2022), a euphemism for the Kremlin not having enough money for such a project given the costs of its war against Ukraine (Svpressa.ru, June 9, 2022; February 19; Profile.ru, December 22, 2022). Third—and this may matter the most over the long haul—the route will be built on the basis of concessions in which China will gain long-term access to the natural resources in the region in exchange for building a railroad Russia could not afford. Unfortunately Russia is stuck and it will not have options for very very long time. As of today they are dependent on China for all their basic needs as well as to sell their energy.
They will find ways. Already they are trying to supersede $ and India too won't mind that.
I would beg to differ regarding India’s status as a military power. We can’t call ourselves as superpower when we are buying our arms from countries like Israel, South Korea and France. We need invest and drive our R n D for next 20 years before we can come anywhere close to be somewhat independent. Current pace of DRDO is not enough.
There are problems. But our biggest problem is that we're defensive in nature. India's collective military might is still ranked 4th in the world.
ModiJi’s drive for self reliance is the right approach. However, in parallel we need to buy/ modernize the weapon systems and that’s not happening. Kadi ninda must be replaced with a more dynamic DM.
Have patience brother. Path of self-reliance is extremely long and painful. But we'll get there. Things have now started to move. Should pick up more pace from now onwards.

Rajnath ji is good, but there is no replacing inimitable Parikar or Fernandes as our DM.

After the fall of the communist government in 1991, the old white-red-white flag was readopted. Those who favoured the maintenance of socialism and its autocratic ways soon returned to power, however, and on June 7, 1995, the old Soviet flag design was revived, although the hammer and sickle and star emblem was omitted and the embroidery pattern henceforth was red on a white background instead of the reverse.

It's a deliberate downing, regardless of whether a weapon was used, so a retaliation is probably due.
They can always take off with these hanging

Somewhere near Bakhmut (?), the Wagners are trying to regain their positions from the soldiers of the 3rd battalion of the 92nd (?) Specialized Brigade, who had previously driven them out of there and are still holding them. Wagner in the left trench
