Never underestimate the need for a distraction especially when a US administration isn't doing well. Next US drone might have friends nearby incase Russia want to play bumper planes again. All it takes is a miscalculation.
The question is, if they do nothing this time, what happens next time? There will be a response, the only question is whether it will be an open response, or a dish served cold response.

Things aren't going well for this president and the people that pull the strings. Also we weren't living in times we're living in right now either.
This conflict is going to escalate I've said this from the beginning of this war the only question is how and when. I'm not predicting this drone knock down will be the spark the ignites a bigger conflict all I'm saying it wouldn't surprise me if sleepy Joe or his handlers use this for a distraction.
Ofcourse with economy on fire ,inflation refusing to die down, banks with no money, that would be the right thing to do. Biden will make trump look like far more benign.
