And AFAIK, the cauldron around Ukraine's main corps near Donbas has already been created. Manoeuvre warfare is over. The only thing left is whether those troops will surrender or get annihilated. It's effectively half of Ukraine's army.

General situation: Unchanged. Russian forces dispersed and slowed down. Seeking to unblock by "domino effect" (the capture of a city allows the release of forces that make it easier to take another city).
West: unchanged. The fate of the "blocked army" (35th Combined Army) is still a mystery.
Kiev: scattered Russian attacks from the outskirts of Kiev in packs of 4 and 5 Joint Task Forces (JTF) on three axes West (Boucha-Irpin)-South-West (Yasnohorodka) and East (Brovary). There was not enough critical mass for the complete closure of Kiev before the capture of Chernihiv and Soumy. Effort therefore focused on the capture of its towns that had resisted since the beginning of the war.
East: unchanged. Kharkiv still under siege without assault. Attempts to advance from and towards Luhansk without much success.
South: unchanged. Dispersion of forces in three combat zones: Mariupol, Zaporijjia and Mykolaev. Effort on Mariupol to free up forces to attack in Zaporizhia and/or Mykolaev.

Method of city capture by infiltration (Trojan horse) (cf. Hue during the Tet offensive in 1968 taken from within by thousands of fighters introduced into the city of 140,000 inhabitants).
"Saboteurs" (special forces from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? FSB?) introduced into Kiev in 2021 by simply renting flats in the city. To facilitate the penetration of Russian forces during the initial assault, provide information, assassinate Zelensky (?), take key points, maintain confusion and paranoia in the city. Insufficient critical mass in relation to the size of the city to have a real operational effect.
