Smells like bullshit to me.

Why would Ukrainian paratroopers go on a suicide mission to stop IAEA inspectors from visiting a Russian-held location? If that was the plot of a movie, the viewers would walk out of the theater in disgust over how nonsensical and stupid that was.

Probably because in that case of Ukr being successful, there would be a neutral zone created under ukraine military effectively around the NPP, given the EU & UN will invariably be demanding that. No military command that is holding out a very sensitive & important location would allow such action to succeed. Ukraine held back the delegation for the shelling duration.
There are some pictures of a supposed landing barge, obviously with absolute news blackout in Ukr right now its hard to verify both sides. if ukr were not so sensitive about news leaking out i would have verified both.

now ukr journalists are turning on him. A very disappointing fact is when anything pro ukraine is posted people do not question about it but vice versa not true, even after numerous example of clear propaganda from both sides.

looks like there was some sort of commando operation attempted by ukr. Probably some confirmation of it will be out soon if it is true.

Nobody is allowing Russia to back out now, you're right. In February they had the option of quitting while they were ahead and keeping Crimea. But Putin wanted to pretend he was Peter the Great and murdered thousands of Ukrainians, so now Ukraine will keep going until they are kicked out of both the Donbass and Crimea. In fact they'll be lucky not to lose Transnistria too. And if it reaches the point of Russian bankruptcy they will likely be booted from Abkhazia and South Ossetia as well.

1. NATO did not start this war, stop trying to twist facts. Russia started it when they invaded Crimea and the Donbass, and in February they tried to take the whole thing.

2. Yes NATO trained Ukraine because Russia had already invaded Crimea and the Donbass.

3. If they'd been prepared to the NATO standard for a war, they would already have had HIMARS, CAESAR, PzH2000 etc. and been trained on those systems.

This damn thing is really simple. People inside Ukraine have to abide by the rules of the recognised government, just as in any country. They cannot take a little piece for Russia and nor can Russia. If they want to live in Russia, they should go live in Russia. Minsk was a load of p!ss signed on to by a weak EU to try and appease Putin. Putin took it as a sign of weakness and kept pressing the line in Donbass, when Ukraine had finally had enough of it and pressed back, Russia invaded and made a jack*ss of itself.

Has the counter offensive to take Kherson failed? Of course it has. Will the Western media admit to it? Of course it won't. Will they spin it into another triumph? You bet they will. Will Paddy stop spamming us with details on how the Russians have lost the battle? You bet, he won't. That's the best part about being a Paddy.

Paddys aim for a victory, if not on the ground then definitely in the media, on the airwaves & on broadband fibre. 3 months on, there's absolutely no news on the valiant Azov Battalion. Them Paddys have moved on to seek more sacrificial lambs.

If such a commando operation did take place, it definitely carries mark of nato style short & swift daring ops. It is equally possible russia will try to delay the inspection as it is possible for Ukraine to argue the creation of a demilitarised zone in the event of the raid party succeeding. If that raid was carried out yesterday or 2 days ago the inspection would not have taken place. So both sides had different incentives.

Seems highly unlikely, tactically it doesn't make sense to capture a small area surrounded by enemies, even if you succeed. That just puts you in a Mariupol situation minus the bunker and supplies.

Paddy, though any & every amateur defense enthusiast knows this, I doubt you do. You take a tank or any object out in 3 shots & move on. You let the infantry do the mopping up.

You don't exactly waste ammo especially if you're short of it & literally beg & plead for more supplies every other week in public. You also don't risk taking more than 3 shots for fear of exposing yourself to retaliatory fire especially in a drone saturated environment .

Unless of course the whole thing was staged as usual or you had Paddys as the tank crew or the film production crew or all the three possibilities together.
