US - Iran Flare Up

A very interesting situation. We (i.e. @nair and few more of us) had delved on this in the older forum. A world of opportunities open up for India. If played right.

Unlike the popular misconception, Mr Trump is not the fool that everyone takes him to be.

Honestly, what will be the targets for the Iranians? US bases in Iraq? US, under him, will be happy to get out of it on the pretext that the present dispensation has asked US to quit.

This serves his and ironically US' interests in 02 ways:

1. Draw down of troops, something that the US public wants and he fought an election on.
2. Allows for a situation wherein Iran will also target US facilities in the GCC countries. That shall force the Saudis to act. Situation becomes interesting for Saudis and the GCC alliance as they shall have to either get involved in Iraq (if US forces withdraw) directly or indirectly and also open up another front against Iran from Pakistan (Baluchistan angle). This also pits Iranians and Pakistanis against each other, with the latter having no option but to side with KSA on this, thereby pitting Pakistan against Iran in Afghanistan as also opening up a can of worms in Baluchistan and Baluchistan-Sistan region. And we all know why that serves US' interests too (CPEC)

It is something we predicted will be the action by US. With Turkey at loggerheads with Iran in Syria, with Saudi Arabia in Libya, this will effectively put the so called Islamic world against one another.

I met a delegation of Iranian Zoroastrians recently (during my ban ... during which time I was delighted to see the saffron virus cleansed from the state I grew up in).

The first thing I told their leader, a buzurg, when I shook his hand (they still greet in the traditional Zoroastrian way, right hand on heart, with a slight now, eye to eye) ... I told him, sir you and us are long separated brothers. But the time is close now when we will be one again.

I have the same feelings towards Iranian hardcore Shia thugs and those of the Mullas, the Basiji and the Sevak, as you guys do towards your Muslim blood brothers in Godhra and Kashmir.

Hope that gives you some more insight into where I and every Parsi on earth is coming from ...

Indian nationality? The guys suffering from MPD. He's a Persian when it suits him. He claims Zoroastrianism would prevail in Iran again. Doesn't explain why he quit Iran. There's a Zoroastrian population still present there. Persecuted since the last 14 centuries by their own ppl who've converted to Sunni Islam from Zoroastrianism and then to Shia Islam , neither of which made a difference to the state & conditions of Zoroastrians there.Doubt they would entertain converts from Islam given the emphasis on blood purity Or fear of the mullahs who'd do them to death for blasphemy.

Or are we to believe that Iranian blood mixed with Arabs & Kurds, Turks, Hephtalites, Mongols, etc are still ritually more pure than Indian blood given that's why they frown on inter community marriages here & excommunicate their own particularly women.

Then there's the issue of him identifying with Marathas. With Hindutva until 2015. With Shiv Sena. With the NCP. Always anti Muslim. He basically walks with both a bullseye painted on his back & kick me sign on his backside.

Again, you can differ with his views, but there wont be an Indian-ness test here. Please refrain from personal attacks.

You won't have to wait long to see. For reference just few back few Iranian drones brought Saudi oil to standstill. That was just for message, make no mistake Iran because of its location can prove too costly for US and world.

Seems doubtful as sanction to kill him was given long ago, also it's too simplistic/fictional.
